Instead of just sniping and blowing hot air out of your backside, why don't you, just for a change, try putting together a reasoned argument for one of your contrary opinions? You'd find that it's so much more rewarding.

Not sure if this was aimed at me. I have no fickle self-entitlement, as a Palace fan for nearly 60 years who would have? All I was doing was passing on information I heard, sorry if you didn’t like it

Seems like me a number of long term season ticket holders will not automatically renew. To my mind this is an entertainment business and with the current tactics it is like watching the same show over and over again. Boring tactics playing the ball sideways and backwards in our own half often leading to losing the ball or a panic clearance. Very few goal scoring chances and players seemingly unwilling to shoot. Added with the lack of investment on and off the field I feel relegation is only a season away. It's a shame that as a private company the directors aren't able to be questioned as to where they see the company going in the next five years. I think Parish owes it to the fans to give some updates as there seem to be a lot of disillusioned fans wondering what's going on

Have thought that for a long time!

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky.

it wasnt aimed at anybody in particular, just in general...and it seems to peak to insane levels whenever we lose a game.

hand on heart, who thought we would win yesterday? i didnt given that we all know sheff utd are having the season of their lives, and coupled with the fact that we very, very rarely take all 3 points when teams have the gameplan of conceding possession to us, to enable them to focus on stopping wilf.

fans complain we play the same every week, so do most teams in most leagues. brighton, bournemouth & norwich try to play nice football and look at where that getting them. I will add we do actually play good tight passing football, and there is a lot of nice neat tight interplay in the oppositions half but we just cant finish our chances, not roys fault, not Steve fault, not dougs fault.

at the start of the transfer window we all wanted 3 things, a full back, a winger & a striker...we got a striker (wouldnt be my choice, but a striker nether the less) we only failed to get a full back due to a failed medical, and tried for 2 decent wingers. ok it didnt work out as we all would have wanted, but nobody pulled up any trees this transfer window really.

look at the market the owners are working in, the striker brought in is on £100k a week, its not easy and i would rather we signed nobody rather than just signings to appease fans.

it is probably a blessing in disguise that STCC has been removed from the agenda this season as we probably wouldnt have been able to sign ayew or tosun this season but we cant just continually throw good money after bad.

At the end of the day everybody looks at every situation differently, and thats fine but i honestly believe we are where we should be in this league given the size club we are, and given the meagre resources available to us, would I like to see us with owners like wolves, yes of course i would, but we dont so theres no point getting wound up & moaning about things we have no control over...if you break it down and really look at our situation from a subjective manner we are in a halcyon period right now, and we should be enjoying it, because if / when we eventually our holiday in the sun ends, losing £50m a season in the championship and getting our arse handed to us in the form of points deductions & fines will make our current situation look like the dream scenario.

be careful what you wish for, because the grass isnt always greener on the other side.

I really dislike this nonsense, particular when it is applied to our current situation.
Tell me then: if the grass isn't greener on the other side it follows to reason that it is reasonably green on this side. How is it then that we are the lowest scoring side in the PL, with an abysmal home record, lost the last 2 home games comfortably against sides vying for middle ground like us, the potm is inexplicably dropped, questionable transfers, no youth promotion, same old side to side negative footie, pie in the sky stadium plans etc etc etc.
The green grass on the other side is calling out loud.

southnorwood...

yet with all the negatives you state, before yesterdays game we were 3 points away from 5th place.

mental how bad things can be perceived, especially after a not suprising loss.

I don't think it unreasonable to try some different tactics from time to time and to understand where the club is going. The football is dire and if season ticket holders are being put off what chance is there in attracting new younger supporters?

but if we had taken our chances we would have beat them comfortably and everybody would now been salivating at the prospect of the chance of european football next season.

Is it the actual football that is dire or the finishing and .: the results that are dire? because there is a difference.

also, what different tactics would you suggest would work better with the squad we currently have?

we tried to change our style from counter attacking to taking the game to teams with pardew and that didn't end that well if i remember rightly. in-fact it left us with operation alladyce that essentially f***ed us in the transfer market for the following 18months.

How about we ditch the third defensive holding mid for a forward minded mid, get the ball down the flanks, and if Benteke is to be played, knock balls in with support arriving from midfield?
I recall Harry Kane, at the time the Prem's top scorer, up top for Hodgson's England, feeding off scraps because the midfield was so far away from the attack. Reminds me of what we see now.
*I am not comparing Kane to Benteke*

This is funny people really think this is true come on Roy is local guy he loves Palace and if he was not happy he would just not sign the new deal he has been offered and leave when his current one ends which is end of this season.

The other thing is Roy is not blameless yes you could say he has not been backed but he also is not doing the team any favors by sticking with his favorites plus same tactics all the time.

The last game again just sums up what is wrong could see they was having an off game but no same old defensive football back to same old line up as well.

quit playing this silly trying to keep the ball all the time football and going backwards this does nothing pass and move it's not hard yet Palace can't do this simple things.

Not sure Roy understands what a striker is either he keeps getting the likes of Benteke playing his way so they end up playing on the wing even in our own half no wonder they don't score goals plus something every basic every other team does is puts crosses in we just don't do this.

Riedewald not being used was criminal

Luca, McArthur and McCarthy have never started as the midfield three, so not the same old line up, just saying for accuracy.
