Francis will probably get cited. 2 weeks at most i reckon.
The yank tackle on Faz was really bad. Max length for that i reckon.
So far so good as far as we go.

Hope you are right . . .

Well, A red card & deservedly so, I worry about Piers Francis tho after his very similar tackle in the 1st min. I agree the 2 Samoans will prob be cited as I think Francis will, will be interesting to see what the outcome will be.

Easy win for England today, but, why oh why did they gift the USA a cheap try? 10 days off then the Argies.

Greed? Adrenaline rush?

England could have ended the game but decided to go for one more try from deep in their own territory. You reap what you sow, but on the other hand many will applaud the entertainment value of it all. It will make no difference in the final reckoning.

The problem with this tournament is the group stage is largely irrelevant, and only in 2 of the groups are there 3 teams that have a realistic chance of qualifying (England and Scotland's groups).
It is even worse in the Rugby League World Cup where there really are only 3 teams in the whole comp that have any chance of winning it.
England certainly do seem to get the rough end of the draws having been in a group with Australia and Wales last time round and this time an unpredictable France and experienced Argentina.

England vs Argentina is the first game I'm really looking forward to. We should win it really, but I'm taking nothing for granted.

Really enjoying watching Japan - some great handling skills and quick passing. Ireland are getting rattled.

Yup. Japan look well schooled and quick. But I fear a late mistake may break their hearts

I agree.

Why on Earth did the Ireland player kick for touch at the end - or kick at all - knowing that the gong had sounded?

Well deserved imo, well done Japan. Didn't see that one coming. Great game to watch.
