As long as the EU does not control our lives I am happy to have close ties including freedom of movement (but not freedom to claim benefits). Johnson is a one nation Tory and if he gets his majority it should allow him to pursue a more centrist policy not just with the EU but in all areas.

It can certainly be a worry where a party has a large majority against no viable opposition. What we can say though is that it ends the gridlock. There are no excuses or ambiguities now and so the government will be squarely judged by its performance.
