Hes going straight after reclaiming tax breaks for who they call the wealthy. Probably going to affect fairly normal workers. Still he can then share it out and create equality.
Sort of rings a bell of a certain type of ism.

It would depend on the amount its set at I suppose. Trump did get gigantic tax breaks to corporations, but I'd certainly be against anything that took money out of the pockets of an average or even successful individual.

Polls have become less and less accurate in recent years. It's only a prediction, and Trump always outperforms polls anyway (he did this time too) as many of his voters have no real desire to announce who they are voting with. The similar principle applies here with the shy tory factor.

Hillary lost because she had a cold personality and was so incredibly unpopular with vast swathes of the country that they came out in droves to politically bury her. The same happened with Trump here. Biden didn't excite, he just didn't repel either, which is good enough. Biden wasn't voted in, Trump was voted out.

You've hit the nail on the head. You lefties listen. Why should tories and republicans be afraid to admit it. 'I dont really know' isnt the correct answer. The answer is that the media have labelled 'right wing' as racist, xenophobic and any number of slurs. Whereby the left are seen as some angelic world peace never do wrong type of voter.
Right wing is tory or republican, simple.
The last time people in the uk felt safe to admit voting tory was Maggie. I would imagine prior to bush in the usa. Someone can put this more eloquently than me I'm sure but you get the drift.

Success is greed to a socialist.
When it happens you wont hear as it's bad news.
Republicans are going to get bank accounts closed, sacked from jobs and more. It will be a free for all but you wont hear a word. If you dont think this is going to happen fair enough but everyone who wanted trump is a little bit tainted sadly.
Democracy is wonderful if it's your colour rosette.
The healing is all bullcrap.

Yes, the 'healing' comments are very Hallmark card. Possibly better than vitriol, but at the same time not likely to change much.

Democrats have a reputation for handouts and Republicans do for privatising profits and socialising losses, so both are unfair really. It's a 'pick your poison!'.

We might have a new President in the USA but we still have the same old bs from the usual suspects on the Hol.

The world might be breathing a sigh of relief and looking forward to a new era free of Trumpism being pushed in their face all the time, but on the Hol nothing changes.

I am looking forward to the new administration actually doing things which matter. Like dealing with the worst pandemic in living memory, handling the economic fallout so that the poorest are protected and facing up to the reality of climate change and showing some leadership.

Stupid is as stupid does, wisbech.

Any grown adult who, after everything that we saw in the last 4 years, is still pro trump, is either lying to themselves, pretty thick, or is so fond of his racism and xenophobia, that they generally hold their nose yet endorse him still.

Biden has already reversed some of the more stupid and dangerous things that trump did, including rejoining the Paris climate accord.

Enjoying control over all branches of government for at least 2 years, Joe Biden will make hay while the sun shines in largely eradicating trumps policy agenda, and enforcing his own.

Remember when Trump couldn’t even get Paul Ryan to fund his border wall? Biden won’t alienate the likes of Chuck Schumer, as he is a normal humanoid, capable of even building normal relationships with other humanoids, imagine that!

The so called deal maker Trump was actually one of the worst statesmen ever, barely able to deliver on any campaign promises, like his wall that Mexico would pay for, destroying Obama care, and so on and so forth.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

Top of the morning to you.
Did y'all enjoy watching the swamp rats yesterday?
Lady Gaga? Imagine waking up next to that!
As they say over the pond ; here's the deal.
The swearing in of the illegitimate president completed the crime.
The military are in charge now despite what the muppet on your news channel might be telling you.
It wasn't just Trump calling an election fraud. The military have all the intel they need. Foreign interference in a U.S. election is pretty serious regardless of it not yet being proven in court. But for creepy Joe to say Sorry guv I knew nothing about it! That's not going to save him, sadly. Well, sadly for some!

Honestly, there is no evidence of any of this. I'm not saying that in a 'told you so' kind of way either, just that as statement of fact what you are saying has zero truth to it and there is no evidence for it other than nonsense posted online. You've been misled and if this is something you chose to keep believing, you'll be following others down the rabbithole for another four years waiting for it. Not time well spent.

I'd say it goes something like this..

Firstly, Trump spewed out relentless, intentional mistruths on a scale almost unheard of. Often they didn't even really align well with one another because they would be based solely on what was in his personal interest at the time. It was 'next level'. Something would be 'true' one day, 'false' (or 'a joke', or changed in some way) the next. Therefore there was a big element of 'trust me on this' and 'blind faith' to it all. No lie was too small to make either. Even a misspelling like 'Covfefe' couldn't be stated as such and had to have some kind of hidden meaning.

Secondly, for all of the talk of 'fake news' and of course news media have an agenda too and are not unvarnished truth by any stretch, there at least is a component of verifiability and journalistic values to some degree. It's more the 'focus' that is the bias. The relentless 'fake news' mantra by Trump, was actually to make people less believing of stories that emerged about him that were negative (not necessarily untrue). This loosening of reality ("What you're seeing and what you're reading is not what's happening" ) was drummed into people daily to downgrade inconvenient facts when needed, and to encourage just 'adhering', 'going with it' instead of ever analysing anything. With some it went to cult-like lengths and the relentless nature of it meant that even relatively 'normal' people were influenced to a noteworthy extent by self serving pushed fantasies.

The above two factors loosening perception of reality, as well as personal levels of susceptibility and indeed curiosity is what has led to the high number of people we're seeing now stranded in their own personal hinterland. It made room for people to buy into ever more fanciful ideas where Trump was the hero of the piece. Of course it would be fair to say that believing in 'any' ideology involves downgrading inconvenient facts and voices, but there are still degrees, and things that definitely are based somewhat in ongoing realities and others that simply aren't, and the whole 'Q' thing with endless wildly out there predictions that never actually come about is an example of the latter. People have been 'led down the garden path' as they say.

Thank goodness yesterday passed off peacefully.

As for Qanon I wonder if he was a wind up by a Democrat supporter. If he really believed all that BS why the "go back to your lives comment"?

Hopefully things will calm down now and America politics will get back to some sort of normality. If Trump wants to form a third party I wouldn't be surprised since the Tea Party a big chunk of the Republican party has not been happy and maybe they need to split.

You are both stupidly desperate, and desperately stupid. It’s quite a feat.
