Laughable.

Does the virus only start to be passed from the child's "infection" once that child hits puberty?

The WHO are coming up with ingenious ways of keeping us indoors.

Did you watch the interview?

If so I don't understand how you reach that conclusion. It seems their opinion has been reached from an analysis in countries where schools have remained open. So based on experience and not on theory. I have no idea at what age, or why, the transmission rate increases.

What does opening schools have to do with keeping us indoors? Surely if that happens more of us will be able to go back to work, the economy start to recover and the children resume their education.

There is more control over social distancing, hygiene etc in school whereas after school when teenagers mix there isn’t. This was my take on it and is what the female medical person who’s often at the government briefings said. Makes sense.

Reaching a conclusion about an interview I haven't watched, Wisbech, I agree, isn't particularly helpful on the surface.

But if you wish to understand, at least, why more and more people are seeking alternative ways of working out what's going on in the world, may I draw your attention to the link of an interview I posted back on page 362 of this thread.

I'll watch yours, if you watch mine!

Apparently cant afford the equipment! This is an excuse to try to get new stuff. A smart phone and the internet is all they need and 99% of kids or the household has one and it. Along with a pen or pencil. What a load of bollox. Lazy kids, lazy parents. A spoilt, entitled society is what we have created and live in. f***ing shameful.

I had the same thought but as I have no expertises in this area...Certainly there will be homes where parents do not value education so will not be pushing their kids to attend online classes. I imagine that those who do care will be trying their best to get their kids online. That's why getting kids back into the class is so important.

School row erupts as David Blunkett blasts unions for ‘working against children’s interest

[Link]

I’m finding it slightly funny that former cabinet labour MP’s have come out early against the left wing obstacles and been honest with how they see it. You can ad Ed Balls to that and him understanding early on the tough job the government had at the time and the crucial balance the government was going to have to take on the economy vs immediate deaths due to Covid (only).

When you’re out of power you acknowledge the logic more, or you admit to it.

It wasn't MY interview and I haven't posted a link to it. It was by Andrew Marr with the chief scientific officer of the World Health Authority. It's easily found.

I remember your link, having just checked back. It was a piece on a website well known for posting "information" from highly dubious sources. There is even a link on that page to an interview with David Icke, which ought to be enough. I think I said as much at the time.

If you really think there is an ounce of equivalence between the two then I suggest you go and lie down somewhere for a while and meditate.

By all means seek alternative ways to view things but try to find some that might have even a tiny chance of actually having a grain of useful truth to extract.

Conspiracy theorists are as common as muck at the moment and what they peddle is much less than useful than muck. They are preying on the vulnerable and impressionable so be careful.

I don't claim ownership of the interview I posted either, Wisbech.
They are BOTH interviews. No more, no less.
You seem to place validity on only the interviews that are "easily found".
However, I detect we both have a common interest in the truth.

The validity of the interviews has nothing to do with how easily they are found but only on the credentials of the person being interviewed.

One is a leading expert in her field who works at the very top of the WHO.

The other is a conspiracy theorist?

You tell me who is more likely to know some of the truth?

We quarantined all new entrants for 14 days, including people coming from hospitals. We are capable of that. Some hospital returners who went to hospital without Covid came back with it.

That has NOT been the cause of our emergent cases. Those came as a result of staff bringing it in. That is because we were unable to pre test staff until this week.

I'm not saying what your particular home does or doesn't do, I'm saying what has been documented to have happened in others.

I already highlighted in my previous post the issue of staff bringing it in

"Quarantining is worthwhile, but it clearly hasn't been particularly successful and asymptomatic staff likely bring it into the environment too."

Again, I'm not personalising it, you keep imagining I'm talking about you and your approach personally. I'm talking about the lack of successful planning from the top and the body count. It is what it is.
