That though is very different to seeking to find every and any excuse to attack a poster, which is what has been happening for a very long time. That's not moaning at all. It's water of a duck's back to me. It just a statement of fact. That such things are closed down is not any kind of attempt to stifle criticism. It is to ensure that the criticism is directed at the idea and not at the poster. But surely light hearted p*** takes are hardly insults (WE 11 March)

Then comes out an illness that puts Wuhan, and Hong Kong on lock down. Both America and China are nucular states. China has several quarrels all around the world. America's biggest weakness is probably its healthcare system. The EU was struggling and acts as a trade barrier for china.... This might work out quite nicely for china... especially given they dont really give a s*** about their own people.

The OED defines it more comprehensively as:- "a person who has very strong, unreasonable beliefs or opinions about race, religion or politics and who will not listen to or accept the opinions of anyone who disagrees". I don't believe my opinions to be unreasonable and I certainly listen to other opinions, even if I strongly might disagree with them.
For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally. |
