A dissenting view of lockdowns.

No matter how much scientific evidence there is you'll always find one who wants his five minutes of fame by dissenting.

He had about about care homes they should have been locked down before anything else.

I agree with what you’ve said apart from your cycle of infection of children of care workers and nhs staff, which is still a risk as you put it, unless you’re saying because the NHS isn’t overcome that it now isn’t a problem.

People want zero risk until a vaccine. I’ve just heard the record for a vaccine is 4 years, and there’s been no discovered vaccine for any Coronavirus yet.

As I said this is about risk management. Risk is an ever present part of life from the day we are born. It cannot be eliminated if you are to have a life.

So as soon as it's judged a manageable risk to reopen the schools then it will be done. I gather it will be done slowly and carefully, with the impact assessed as it progresses.

If indeed no vaccine is found then the risk assessments will have to be revised and changes made to manage them. Let's hope that's not needed but right now I think the way this ship is being steered is taking us in the right direction.

Worked for Newton, Galileo, Copernicus and a few others who got more than five minutes fame.

The teacher union NEU might obstruct that, ignoring the fact that key workers have been working throughout all of this and more are beginning to go back to work. They’re going to create a really bad feeling towards teaching if this happens.

Apparently the number of new infections in London is down to around 20 odd per day which is excellent news from the peak of thousands. As London lead the way at the beginning hopefully this will be the trend for the rest of the country. So look at the London rate in 2 weeks will it go up after relaxing the rules.

I see some of the union bosses are being idiots in trying to block their members going back to work. Providing reasonable precautions are taken there is no such thing as a 100% safe environment. Hopefully their members will be responsible.

I really hope not and this doesn't become politicised in any way. Although Stamer is now making some critical points they seem to be intended to produce positive answers rather than just inflict political damage. In fact, the opposition parties, and the unions, have all been largely supportive and included in the decision making, so this has felt like a collective effort. Which is actually quite refreshing to witness.

Every word you have said makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Go take a look at the Panorama programme the other night and in particular the undertakers in East London who had to buy not hire refrigerated containers to house at one point was 400 bodies and most poignant was the bosses comments that many of those had gone far too early in some cases in their 30’s. Can you then imagine what your ridiculous herd theory would have created? We had it easy with our lockdown go speak to people in Spain and Italy who endured far tougher restrictions.
It is you that are in La la land as indeed is Mr Trump and if you want to see the results of your herd master plan keep your eyes on the death rate there.

I don't watch Panorama in the same way I don't watch leftist propaganda.

You call 'herd immunity' ridiculous? Don't you realise that is all there is. You have been scared disproportionately by the government and media.

There isn't an economy in the world that can feed you operating like this. Why is it that key workers continue on but the rest of the economically viable don't?

The average age of death of this virus is nearer eighty than seventy. If you are that age then it makes sense for you to remain extra careful with social distancing and hygiene...but the reality is you're better outside than in.

The fact is diseases will always claim younger victims....however with the Kung flu they are exceptions to the rule....weak immune systems or the fact that there's an ailment out there that has your number if you catch it. This was true before this virus and it will remain true after it.....There is nothing that can be done about it.

You think staying locked up is going to save you then stay locked up lad. If you have the money to do so you have my best wishes.

For the rest of us life has to be led.

Where do you think we should go with lockdown from now?

I've also seen that...the missus likes musicals.

I suffered in silence....my life has contained undue suffering of the musical kind.
