4 goals in 5 games.

Out of the few goals we scored at the tail end of last season most were coming from the left had side.

He's been hyped up so much people expect too much of him. It's unfair to ask him to do something special every game.

Still at least we know you won’t cheer when he scores. Not rose tinted glasses, he left early on at least 2 occasions. What is it with posters on here with their conspiracy theories, it’s called opinions. I believe his time has probably passed but I also believe Roys tactics have not helped him.
Slight exaggeration that biggest hype in PL history but You are entitled to your opinion.

ps don’t tell Willo you stand in lower holmesdale

Not trying to dig you out Spider.
Of course I’d cheer if he scores. But I stand by the biggest hype job in premier league history.
Honestly though , if he had continued to try and play for England , I think he would do well on the last 18months form to get on the bench for an England B team. Kane,Rashford, Maddison,Vardy, Sancho, Mount, Foden , Calvert Lewin, Grealish , Philips , Greenwood, Ward prowse (yes Ward prowse more football intelligence than Zaha ) , steriling, ings

Sure I’ve missed a few. Add the foreigners in the premier league to that list and I can’t see what champions league squad he would get anywhere near.

Apologies to Willo. Had my current seat for 25 years , stood on it a few times, but never sat in it.

I think his best is good enough to play Champions League football. But he has, basically, 3 months to provide it

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

I don't see Wilf as a regular starter for a top six or Champions League side but he's done more for us in both top and second tier than any other individual player in my time.

More than Johnson ?? 21 goals in. A relegated team (will never be beaten ) loads of penalties I know, but he won most of them.
Salako overall wing play
Jansen goals/ performances
Wright goals
Bright goals
Armstrong goals
Thomas performances
Hughes performances
Gray performances
Young
Thorn
Murray goals
Martyn
Ayew last season
Guitita last season
Cahill last season
RLC loan
I could go on for ages...........
Stewart loan
Lombardo everything
Sansom

Most of those players left after a season or so in the top flight or gave heroic performances in sides that got relegated after a season or so ... and then left. Perhaps with the exception of Martyn.

What Zaha did to help keep us in the Championship as a kid and then get promotion don't need explanation.

Granted he went to United for year then came back and has overall been our best player over a a further six years in the Premier League and helped us to an FA Cup final.

Sansom played many games for England as an Arsenal player but was sold after one season in the top flight for us.

Wright barely played in the run to the FA Cup final in 1990 as he broke his leg... but nearly gave us our best moment.

He went to United, . If he hadn’t failed miserably there, then what? Are we hearing about him being a palace legend?

No hero of mine. Goes missing for half the season.

Will be remembered as a decent player , but no more than that for me.

Bottom line, doesn’t want to be here, doing us a favour at £120 grand a week.

Only my opinion but I don't think Wilf has much of a sale value now. I don't think he's going anywhere in the future, given his age and transfer value. There are better deals out there for teams.
Thing is too that Wilf wants to go to a team that has a chance of hoisting silverware over their heads. I don't believe those teams need what he has to offer, in general.
So, I think Wilf in the end will have to content himself with being a Palace icon only. It's sad, but it happens.

I don't care for the way he's gone about things either but that shouldn't detract from what he's done.

All of the players you mentioned have done great things but not over the period of time Zaha has. Armstrong let us down badly IIRC.
