Not at all as the vast majority of Poles want to stay as EU citizens, a very disappointing fact for 'brexiteers':

'polexit' the people don't want and the PM says no, too.

But its not acceptable to have some sort of politburo overseeing the independence of judges.

Clearly if Poland wants to be in the EU it must abide by what it signed up to.

If they wish to revert to a commie style system then they should be offered an exit.

A central legal system should be open to debate. It could easily be used against a country's own interests. Just throwing everyone out because they won't follow every rule smacks of dictatorship. I would ask the question why a centralised legal system is so important to the EU? I'm sure I wouldn't totally agree with the answer. This could be viewed as EU overreach by people, or as totally necessary by others.

It's not viewed as 'overreach' by anyone, especially the Polish people themselves who are clearly very happy with being EU members. Plenty of regulations are 'broken' which can be expected in such a large trading bloc but mechanisms are in place to deal with those infractions depending on how serious they are. Claiming that the EU will 'throw out because they won't follow every rule' is just a baseless and nonsensical claim, typical of those that voted of brexit trying to paint the EU negatively in order to take the focus off the huge problems that the UK has brought upon itself by leaving the EU.

Poles do have televisions, they must have seen our brexit chaos.

And it gets worse next year.

To leave the EU would seem 'up the pole'.

It's exactly what's happening, the EU legal system is seen as too much by plenty of people all across Europe. And Poland is being threatened with expulsion. If you can't read or understand anything then fair enough.

Total supposition and wishful thinking by a brexiteer. I've lived in continental Europe for decades, 8 countries now and the vast majority of people are very happy and glad to be part of the EU. Sure there are some issues but that's to be expected with 27 separate cultures and sovereign states. The chaos right now is in the UK, not on the continent and the only differentiating factor is brexit. You can continue to keep you head buried in the sand about that but the 450 million EU citizens couldn't really care as the UK has rarely come up in conversation during my time on the continent, spanning more than 30 years now.

Not at all, straight from the EU statements and EU media. Plus, I also live and work across the EU and have seen multiple debates on EU law vs National law. I even worked for the EU for years. A two second Google search should help you. As for being a Brexiteer it's not in my signature like some kind of prize t***.

Just realised your use of 'overreach' was taken from Frost's desperate speech to the EU. Next time you should quote the source. About time his peerage was removed for the utter mess he has put NI in after 'engineering' the current NI protocol deal with the EU which he's now trying to remove, same should happen to his hollow title.

I didn't realise he had used that word. May have seen it and used it subliminally. I was using EU sources, after I came across an article about several countries urging Poland be expelled from the EU. Frost doesn't seem great, I can't in any way agree with the NI protocol. I blame both sides for it, and realistically, it's something Ireland should be vociferous about. Unfortunately, we're just lackeys, to our money people.

At the end of this, what do the NI people themselves want.

And a landmark election coming up could see the unionists defeated.

The best thing that can happen for NI is for the UK and EU to depart.
