It's just their views and opinions that are far superior. Like with Brexit when the stupid oiks won, or like when Trump wins it will be because the 60 million that vote for him are gullible fools.

Not all of them, but enough. You cannot protect people from themselves.

The real problem is that the system is no longer fit for purpose. It no longer allows the genuinely meritorious to rise. It depends far too much on money and the influence of the wealthy. In particular the wealthy who can manipulate public opinion because of the media they own or control.

Run out of arguments?

Trump and the group around him are the most obvious bunch of people who believe they are superior. So superior that they can ignore the law as it doesn’t apply to them and overturn election results that don’t go their way.

They certainly don’t deserve to be counted with the good guys. They are on the dark side along with the others mentioned.

Boy, Trump winning is going to be far more fun than it would have been.

I do tend to agree with this. It's no surprise that usually elections have lower and lower turnouts as people are turned off.

Hmm...thinking you not only know more than tens of millions of voters across an entire country but are also morally superior doesn't speak of over modesty, would you say?

You don't need to take the word of WE; however, just look at the facts of his views, behaviour and actions.
Robert De Niro recently described Trump as a "monster"; pretty close to the truth in my view.

Did he say it in Italian?

It's not the criticism of Trump which grates but the blanket condemnation of those who might vote for him.
Robert de Niro was a fine actor in his day but his political opinion is of negligible interest.
