More complete and absolute bs. Talk about swallowing the garbage tossed out by the right and accepting it as fact. The Big Lie works on people like you, doesn't it?

Trump didn't have energy independence. The USA did and still does. Neither Trump, nor Biden, have anything to do with it.

As Macmillan said, "events, dear boy, events". They are what are responsible for these things. Presidents are in the main merely onlookers, riding the wave and taking the credit when they can, and receiving the mud when they cannot. It is on how they respond to the events that we should judge them. Trump trying to deny Covid was serious because he could see the probable consequences for him personally. Biden accepting the flak because he believes doing what is needed for his country matters more than him.

You never tire of making excuses for failure....Biden has worsened just about every metric there is. Aside from the economics and a new cold war I have to sit here and worry about being nuked because people like you want an old angry zombie pervert in charge.

And the guy who ran with Russiagate wants to talk to us about swallowing right wing propaganda.....oh spare us.

When it comes to BS, you could literally fertilise enough crops to feed the world with the amount you produce.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

.

When people like you refer to the activities of Trump and his associates with Putin as “Russiagate” it says all anyone needs to know about them swallowing the Big Lie spoon fed them by the propaganda merchants of the right. Be patient. Use the evidence in front of your eyes.

I am not making excuses for anyone! I am pointing out realities. The world is affected by events and no politician anywhere can be held responsible for them. The Biden administration has taken action to try to ameliorate the impacts t, but it’s impossible to avoid them all. So criticism is easy. It’s actually dealing with things that’s hard.

Blaming Biden for what Putin has done or may do is just ridiculous. The west has no choice other than to resist him, unless they are prepared to postpone even worse problems down the line. That’s a tough call, but a wise one. It won’t do anyone’’s “rating’s” much good so thank goodness we have Biden there and not Trump who would have been more concerned about the impact on him than Europe.

Do you think trump actually realised that going into the green Paris accord would hammer peoples pockets or was that just another guess?
That’s why he left. 1 it’s not as bad as the doom mongers state and 2 he knew the financial burden it would create for joe public.

A quick look around and it appears WE is having a bit of tough time on these boards recently.
So here's some great news for him...
Trump WILL be arrested!
Yep, the thing you've been praying for is really going to happen!
Trouble is, what happens shortly after will crush you like you've never been crushed before.

Trump put his own popularity above the needs of not only the USA but the entire world when he pulled out of the Paris accord. Thank goodness Biden rectified that as a matter of priority.

“Hammering people’ pockets” is just how he would present it. Populists follow public opinion, which will always be short term. No-one asks for more taxes! Well almost no-one. I think people like me ought to pay more!

Leaders lead! Via persuasion. Trump is a populist. Biden a leader. I know which I prefer.

I never have a tough time! Whatever gives you that idea? The only thing that varies is the bs and amusement ratios. Both have elevated recently.

How the Justice Department deal with Trump is an open question but they will be as aware as anyone about the need to avoid provoking a violent reaction. So I doubt whether he will be arrested. He may well be indicted, both on events connected with his time as President and on civil issues during his time as a businessman.

Only after any trials, which would be scrupulously fair and enable an open defence to be heard by all, would he face incarceration. By that time there will be a new POTUS, for which he may well stand, but is unlikely to win, given the erosion of his support.

You cannot fool all of the people all of the time. His time has gone.

Well you live in a country where that is an option & welcomed no doubt, but I'm willing to bet you won't?

for clarification I also think they should either scrap personal income tax in any case & maybe charge you higher VAT or make it scrupulously fair & have a flat (say 20%) tax right across the board

Actually I don’t think it is an option. Seen nothing on my return which indicates voluntary payments but in any case one person alone makes no difference. It’s the general principle I mean.

That would substantially reduce my tax burden, and shift it onto consumers.
