I heard this debated this morning. Apparently, it's a long-term trend which started well before the pandemic and continued on up since then. Back and leg strain from home working was cited. That sounds a bit of a stretch to me!!! Along with the possible impact of long Covid. I think it's more likely because of the illogical benefit system we have which can allow abuse to prosper and reward inactivity more than endeavour. That's down to the government. Agreed. We are paying people to stay at home whilst importing their replacements. There will always be people unable to work but the trend has been going up significantly which suggests that something else is going on.

If anyone can rationalise why UK immigration and UK long term sickness should be posted on the US POLITICS thread I'd be please to hear it.... otherwise, please stick to the thread title Thank you

Interesting development regarding the recent tragic mass shooting at a Nashville Covenant school. The school where a transgender shooter broke in and murdered three children and three adults has filed a motion to stop the release of the shooter's manifesto. On one level I think it's not a bad idea to stop publicising material from these mass murderers. However, this suggestion was being made decades ago and I note that this restriction hasn't been done. It would be interesting to know what's gone on here.

I know it can't happen because the press are entitled to but maybe if their names and photographs and "their story" wasn't released it might reduce the number of attacks. Or as a mate said to me black helicopter, north sea, dump body mission accomplished. (I know just venting).

The only political persecution going on here is from the sycophant Taylor Greene, who is little more than a Trump mouthpiece, hoping for a boost to her career. If these "protestors" are truly innocent then that's what their defence team will be able to prove to a jury.

As for the venting, perfectly justified, innocent lives scrubbed out by looneys.
