I didn't know if what you said previously about the democrats immigration policy was true or not and since you have brought it up again I looked into it - it isn't. I am sure there were some families separated some times, but it was the trump administration that made it policy to separate children from their families. I must admit it's probably a personal failing that I didn't read the article in question.....I just wanted to argue some points. Still, you seem a well meaning fellow who made some reasonable points which you bothered to research.....So I tip my hat sir.

Absolute clusterf*** of US foreign policy the past few days, namely against China, Russia and North Korea. Russia: Biden goads Putin. Putin recalls ambassador, wishes Biden "the best of health" (code: we know you're senile). Then challenges him to a 1-on-1 debade, no censors, live. Checkmate China: Outright body-bags amateur Blinken in the Alaska meeting. Blinken had no response (nor did the purple-haired woman in the background) and no counter to their statements. Made to look feeble and weak, and utterly outclassed. Who the hell appointed this muppet? North Korea: despite attempts to open dialogue with the leadership there, Biden has been rebuffed. Rocket Man doesn't respond to weaklings. Refuses to have any contact with the US lines of communication. ...and as if to underscore the whole sorry state of affairs, Biden... well... apart from the "President Harris" goof... well, he did this, right as Russia and China are lauging at how weak he is: [Tweet Link]

On Wednesday, his press secretary Jen Psaki announced that Biden would finally hold a press conference on 25th March. The ABC interview will not have reassured his advisors. Stephanopoulus pitched the gentlest of underarm lobs – “You think he’s a killer?” – and Biden swung and missed: “Uh-huh. I do.” When Stephanopoulos asked how Biden would make Putin “pay”, Biden floundered. The transcript reads like a man trying to remove his foot from his mouth. “The price he's gonna pay we'll – you'll see shortly. I'm not gonna – there's – by the way, we oughta be able that ol' – that trite expression ‘walk and chew gum at the same time’, there're places where it's in our mutual interest to work together.”

Leaving aside the fact that he is the President, from a human level you have to feel sorry for him as he is clearly senile and not very well at all. Not sure he is going to last the year out as President...

And the alternative view is that he has made a very good start and arguably the best "first 100 days" of any President for a very long time; got his stimulus bill through Congress, rightly called out the behaviour of so called strong men around the world, displays a strong/informed world view and perhaps most importantly is a steady hand on both Government and the associated judgements required.
