Hyperbole. Cock in hole more like.

pro choice ? 45 abortions is a heck of a lot of choosing.

Perhaps she should have been a little more choosy at the 'chat up' stage ?

Exactly what I've already said.

As perhaps a quarry, spoil heap or sink hole?

Well, I guess no 'evolving' has been very good for Japan, especially with hyper low violent and general crime rates.

Turns out that a high trust, homogeneous society that values hard work, personal responsibility, and respect for public spaces requires the opposite to what some advocate for.

Looks like refusing to be 'inclusive' to the third world has helped ensure that its people aren't being told their ethnicity isn't real and that they are bad people who should be ashamed of their history.

Now I wonder what influences in Japan that weren't there but that were in Europe post WW2 that influenced the direction taken.

Mmmmm....

Simply being Japanese

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

What I liked was "kids will even walk miles to school by themselves". Funny that, we all used to. Wonder what changed?

I'm thinking more along the lines of fifth columnists....Frankfurt school and other communists who began to erode the nations.

Windrush, for example, didn't happen organically. Those boats were arranged and paid for.

The migration from the West Indies was a policy to specifically address the labour shortage in the UK after the war.

People were needed

Culturally from my own experience, these immigrants were generally Christian, socially conservative and worked hard to give their kids a better life than they had.

Totally different to mass migration from Muslim countries where culture totally at odds with the incumbent UK citizens.

I would argue they weren't needed....I agree that's the propaganda and reason continually given. But it doesn't hold up to analysis.

Japan for example had been levelled and nuked twice.

In thirty years it was up to us in GDP all via their own work (their GDP is now higher and has been for decades, like Germany's is). The main axis countries who lost the war have a higher standard of living than us (though the Ukraine war is eroding Germany).

There are serious questions that aren't generally asked in the mainstream about the cost of WW2 and the world wars in general and the consequences. No one wants to address it because it questions assumptions that the boomer/GenX generation were raised with...that I was raised with.

However, intellectuals on the right have been making these points in the background comparing what was done to its outcomes....connecting the dots. It's been done since the sixties and modified points were even made in cabinet during the war.

In the present age we should ask: what's the point of winning a war to lose the nature of your country? I doubt the vast majority of British servicemen those who lost their lives, if they could see what has happened to the country, would agree that it was worth it.

There was no popular mandate for this immigration either.....the people weren't asked and indeed, tory promises were made in manifestos to send them back in the fifties/sixties even seventies that weren't delivered.....no one speaks about that in the media, but the manifestos are there in black and white.

There's a whole other conversation on post war outcomes, Germany and Italy manufacturing given massive advantages by the " victors ". UK ended up with debt to US for military purchases.

Post war Japan radically changed after end of dictatorship with successful merge of govt and business

Unemployment rates post war and pre 1970 were very low, more or less full employment of those capable.

Stats are not easily found but the general consensus is around 300,000 West Indian born people were in UK in the mid 60's.

Population was 54M in 1965
