We have won more games than 7 other teams with the same games won as Southampton and one less than Arsenal.

Strongest squad in his time but now missing 10 players. There are not many teams who could cope with that many missing.

especially when at least 4 of those would be in Roy's preferred starting XI (Tomkins, McArthur, Schlupp and Zaha).

Also we've won more league games than the bottom 3 put together.

Yes, last night's performance was poor, but it seemed to me that the more often our players slipped the more unsure they became as to how to play, although, Luka was a disaster when he slipped and lost the ball (time and time again). Let's see how they do on a proper pitch on Saturday.

We weren't getting anything from last night's game whichever permutation or formation of the players available were used.

We've struggled every time we've played against an energetic young side with legs (Brighton and Villa) and their movement and speed were too much for us. Raphinha was almost unplayable.

PVA showed that there's a world of difference between full back with the whole game in front of you and playing on the flank in front of the ball.

The players all looked knackered to me, I feel for our manager having to watch them all fail miserably, Why is everyone so surprised about the way Mr Hodgson sets up his teams ..he's got a wonderful return in regards to points at this stage and we are set to be well safe of the 35 points needed with easily ten games left to play.

The entertainment at times may have something to do with our manager yes but, the biggest problem we have is due to our players ..it really is.

Yes indeed, Wolves showed me everything about that (not the last game obviously) We did have some interesting moments with moving the ball around especially outside their box but they defended well and we just ran into trouble every single time we attempted the final ball ..which wasn't very often lol, our passing was worse then the awful it normally is.

I agree, obvious parallels with him and AWB. To me, Mitchell does not look ready. If PVA is off which I think is likely we need another LB option. I am unsure if TM is as good as we hoped but he has time. One thing he can do is cross a ball though.

The parallels start and finish with them being full backs. AWB you could instantly tell his was different class...composed, solid and utterly impenetrable. Mitchell just sorta looks, okay.

Not sure if this has been mentioned but apparently their goalie completed more passes than any of our players last night.

Embarrassing.

We obviously did better then you thought then.

Il be shocked if a player doesn’t pick up a career ending injury on that pitch before the year is out.

Mitchel had his worst game for us, thought Townsend when he came on was our best, AWB trying to tackle Zaha in training without fouling him made him into what we saw and it was Zaha who informed the club to play him.

Apparently it was the reason they lost to Everton the game before.

It begs the question would anyone have had a good game on that pitch against Raphinha?

Tarrick will grow into a really good player, you can see it in him. Second half he was much better. Monstermunch you are right he can cross a ball and he is the only player sending decent ones into the box atm...

I know Mitchel is young but he needs to stop looking like a rabbit caught in the headlights and show more confidence. What happened to being young, fearless and sort of showing off a bit?
I’m sure he will blossom though.
