Why am I shameless when what I said days ago is now coming out just cause my info given at the beginning has turned out wrong does not mean they were not in talks etc.

Honest answer is because none of your posts are qualified or written with a degree of intelligent caution or restraint. Here's a game of "Spot the Difference" for you.

a. "My sources tell me Frank Lampard is being seriously considered and is now in talks with Palace. There's a good possibility he'll become the next manager".

b. "Frank Lampard is nailed on to be the next Palace manager and will be announced before the end of the week".

Post example b., as you frequently do, and you're setting yourself up for a fall not to mention presenting yourself as more ITK than you actually are. Let's be honest, you have decent sources at the club, but you do NOT know for certain what's going on Parish's mind. And that's where the next manager decision is made. However, post a. and you're making a useful contribution to the board, even though both examples say much the same thing.

Personally, I don't mind your posts at all but as I've said before you really don't help yourself, Dazza.

This appointment should mean we will see the likes of Rak-Saki Omilabu Hannam and Spence more involved in match day squads which is something most of us want. Could be exciting times ahead.

Lets hope so but he may also tell Parish their not good enough either way he has a good reputation working with youngsters so the club should take note.

To take the unusual step of responding to my own post , the answer to the question posed in the first paragraph is that Favre’s agent apparently approached Palace about the role.
It’s possible he wasn’t on our radar beforehand.

On the basis that Favre has been available since December, and with the advance notice that Roy was leaving, I’m surprised that this move for Favre wasn’t put in a place shortly after the end of the season if there was definite interest.
Our trawl of available managers would surely have thrown up his name along with the likes of Lampard, Howe and Nuno.
An early appointment would certainly have benefited planning for the new season.
With regard to Favre it does seem a gamble, but any appointment would carry a degree of risk with the current squad.
The success of recruitment over the next few weeks will be key to determining his chances of success.
The early fixtures are daunting and patience will be required.

My word why do most get so irritated with people’s posts at no point have I ever said I’m an ITK,

all I am doing is passing on what I get told.

No guarantee what I’m told is right or wrong.

If you really think I’m a fraud then just bypass my posts I really don’t get why some get so uptight.

Their are far more important things to get agitated about than someone posting info (right or wrong) on a fan’s forum.

At least we now have a Manager & can enjoy the summer.

Have a good day all.

Absolutely. Far happier with Favre than someone like Cooper. We know we need a bit of an overhaul and he seems more likely to be the sort of appointment to deliver that

Guys I am not here to to make enemies or to antagonise people all I am doing is sharing information.

Yes I started the thread saying meet our New Manager (Lampard) he was a candidate & clearly was interviewed by Palace however my contact jumped the gun & got the info completely wrong but again he was only passing on what he was told/knew.

Then it was Nuno which again was correct until he did the dirty on us at the 11th hour so not sure I can be blamed or moaned at on this.

I then announced days ago before it was even being reported that Favre was a done deal on a 3 year contract & today it was finally released/confirmed by the media tonight.

So when people say it’s been in the press for days there has been nothing until tonight that the deal is confirmed.

Press conference will be Friday along with new kit release.

Good times ahead now can we all just support the team.

The issue that some people take is that you are not just sharing information, you're trying to earn status by presenting third party updates on the recruitment process as nailed-on-truth-100%-going-to-happen, which over the course of this thread have been disproven, and did nowt to deter you from posting more half-baked facts over the last few weeks.

It's like you're a rookie reporter desperate for his first scoop, but you keep publishing badly researched dross.

Anyway, if we do get this over the line I'll be mighty chuffed we have someone of his pedigree, and a little smug that we have disproven all of the Hodgson lovers who thought we could do no better, that there was no manager in the world that could do a better job than our aged former manager. 'Time will tell' I'm sure they will say.

Honestly, Dazza, get a grip. "I've never said I'm in the know" followed by "I'm passing on what I get told". Well, either what you're told comes from someone connected with the club in which case you're implicitly saying you're in the know, or it comes from the local public toilet cleaner in which case you're not in the know but it begs the question why you're even posting a rumour sourced from a bog brusher in the first place. If you're going to play with your sword, at least have the dignity to fall on it.

As I've said repeatedly before, I don't think you're a fraud and I enjoy your posts but FFS, you really can't have it both ways. The real problem, though, isn't you; it's the people who read your posts. They want to believe what you're saying is nailed on true and they get upset when it isn't. A sensible forum member will read them, apply a measure of caution and common sense to interpreting them, and enjoy the information. This is all very post-structuralist (read Barthes on authorial intent). The contention is that the author doesn't exist; you cannot divine the exact meaning of a text by relying entirely on authorial intent. The reader is part of the text and how he reads it and the conclusions he draws are part of the text's meaning. Thus, there is no "correct interpretation" of any text; each reader brings his own, new dimension. Barthes, in fact, declines to even use the word author as it implies some sort of God-like status over what's written (only the author can know what he meant, which Barthes disagrees with). He chooses to use "scriptor" instead, the script being only one part of the final output. Anyway...

the disappointed persons are most likely to be Levy and Moshiri, there is a 'Favre out' thread if you'd like to vent your opinions there.

Mate, this may be why you're struggling in life. If you want to find out whether we have a new manager, I'd humbly suggest a fan forum website probably isn't the best place to find an answer to your question.
