If they have mistaken Simon Jordan for Steve Parish, the joke's on them !

Probably the case on most sites.
Maybe we should start our own rumour. Pick a name… Jorge Jesus is currently managing Benfica. He’d be an option.

Now this is a fascinating idea. If everyone on this site who also posts on the bbs posts saying big rumour about Jorge Jesus coming to manage us, how long do you think it would take for the media to pick up on it and write a a piece? Might keep us amused in our hour of desperation.

I'm not sure that they have but it isn't totally clear

Might have to stick a fiver on him to get him in the betting.

Longer odds than Favre who’s 18/1 on Skybet and we know it’s not him.

If we only renew Townsend and Cahill, We save 700.000k a week, Parish must be delighted with that, at least 3 decent loans with that amount surely

“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn

While fans of Palace, Tottenham and Everton are critical of their clubs' efforts to secure a new manager, so are those of Fiorentina too it seems. However they do at least acknowledge that one of Fonseca's qualifications for the job is that he dresses well!

We should approach Spurs to sign Son as player/manager as, let's face it, we've already been f*cked over by the Favre and the Holy Spirit.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

One thing I hope the club do is to reach out to those players whose contracts expire on Wednesday as from Andros' comments it does seem like they are being left out of the loop and this cannot be good for squad harmony. Even in close season they'll be communicating via WhatsApp. While the likes of Sakho and Wickham are likely to go whatever, we can't afford to lose all of the out of contract players. Most of these players have after all have played a big role in keeping the club where it is and we're in danger of a Yaya Toure birthday cake scenario. Players are human and if they are made to feel unwanted this will create disharmony and players we may want to keep like Andros may simply decide to go elsewhere, while it could also make players who are still contracted question the values of the club.
I have sympathy with Parish having apparently seen two deals collapse at the last minute, but now will be the real test of his abilities.

There has to be a bit of a mystery in this situation with regard to contracts. Tons of media output ,mostly guess work on a new manager. But apparently barely a peep out of players , that on the face of it will be out of work at the end of the month. Townsend , and Ward, talk of new manager input on their futures, in a very relaxed manner, which would not seem right unless they have some solid assurances from the club. As for others not a peep. Some of course are relaxed in knowing they are going. But surely not all. It just seems to be pushing loyalty a bit beyond belief. Or do the players really not give a toss about their future at this club?
