I see there's an extra game against a Brentford B team tomorrow lunchtime, (will be on Palace TV) perhaps that's been arranged to provide game time to some of those who haven't been involved in pre season as much as anyone would like & still need to stake their claim for a place in the starting line up - Luka included perhaps ?

Not sure Luka is match fit. Will be interesting to see who of the 1st team does play.

will we ever see Luka playing again in a Palace shirt, these Personal reasons seem to be dragging on, although not my favourite player i hope health wise all is good

He's been sh1t for a couple of years but I'm completely willing to cut him some slack as I know only too well how the loss of a parent and personal issues can be. However, like any employer, the Club are not going to pay him a big wage for nothing in return indefinitely. It's make or break for Luka. Back to Turkey league or back to Premier League standard. Pretty much his choice now.

Apparently still has personal issues, his father is seriously ill and presumably lives in Serbia

PV was very quick to divert any discussion about Luka in an interview the other day. It all seems a tad mysterious, almost as if they're trying to hide the truth.

There's no doubt his best playing days are behind him and I wouldn't be sorry to see him go, but I wish him well if he is dealing with family issues.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

He's played plenty of Turkeys. Maybe even eaten a couple.

Maybe his form suffered last season as a hang over from getting COVID last year.
Before writing him off let’s cut the guy some slack, especially in light of his personal issues, give him some time and look forwards to him returning to his best in the near future.

As far as I'm aware, he had a Covid breach quite publicly, fell out with the national team twice quite publicly and also caught Covid, perhaps from his partying.
In private his father was ill and that seems to have affected him, plus if his father has died my thoughts go out to him and his family.
A death of a parent isn't easy, especially from abroad. I wish Luka all the best, whatever happens with Palace.
The above factors would perhaps explain his form and fitness. Not exactly Luka's best year, as I suspect was the same for many of us.

Well he broke the COVID rules and should have had his contract ripped up.

Some real strong leaps there. I thought the ‘partying’ / COVID breach was two very tested players, and their close families meeting up over Christmas, a stupid mistake yes, but a real leap to turn one incident into a lifestyle accusation.
I know people who caught COVID and their outcome have been highly variable, In lauding no after affects, minor re-occurring issues (fatigue and coordination), multiple hospitalisations across months afterwards, and tragically death. Hopefully Luke has no side affects, but equally he may have.
The illness and now death of somebody close is also something I would not wish on anyone, and would cut them considerable slack to get over.

But ho hum, you go for the jugular
