Maybe not doing so badly after all.

Because I find the whole thing very amusing - I think a lot of these presenters really overestimated their ability and popularity, and indeed underestimated the team of talented producers and other technical specialists who make their usual shows successful, and I include Andrew Neil within that.

Andrew Neil has been quoting viewing figures since night one so only fair to look at how they've held up, which is not well at all - there's a fairly obvious difference between the numbers you've posted, which is even referenced in the article.

If the market's there it'll be fine, if not it won't. Time will tell.

As for stats.....I will admit that I'm never that certain of any stat nowadays....as the old saying goes, 'lies, damn lies and statistics'.

I guess, you have to trust the names behind them and how ethical they are and 99/100 we never know who put them together and what tricks they did or didn't play.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.
