Hang on, just so I understand this. The government is investing gazillions of tax payers money to encourage Nissan to build in Sunderland. The COO of Nissan stated on the record this morning that Nissan would not have stayed but for this public handout. The taxpayers' money is so invested in order to: (1) bribe "Red Wall" voters; and (2) justify Brexit given Nissan was a rallying cry from Remainers. And the OP thinks this somehow supports the vote to Leave. Really?

And that’s the problem. People would rather spend their time bleating and whining about the fact that we left and how they were ‘right’ than consider how we make the best of it going forwards. Two things are are certain for me - 1. this current crop of weak, useless politicians (of all parties) are not the answer and 2. we need to move away from this petty, pathetic, ‘remain v leave’ cobblers and look to steer our way through. Without it Nissan would have walked and they played an easy brexit hand. State intervention is sometimes necessary, to save steel for example which the govt are trying to protecting today. Increasingly socialist measures are becoming prevalent, and the furlough itself, re-nationalisation of failed privatisations,, transport corporation tax are left-wing policies, and of course the NHS who should be getting the all the credit for vaccines etc. not brexit, is state-run. Had the UK stayed though, this would have not happened.
