That you think it is only the issue of a man who lived 100 years ago, in another country, that is being confronted is, of itself, evidence of a wider issue being confronted.

The “wider issue” has been confronted since the 1950s. It’s been confronted by politicians, authors, songwriters, journalists, artists, activists, sportsmen, etc.
