How many times will this mantra be used

The truth is we had a good start but didn’t follow through

The UK has now slipped to 12th in a European league table of Covid vaccination rates compiled by the data agency Statista, with 137 doses administered for every 100 people as of October 3.

Iceland tops the table with a rate of 161, with Malta (159) second and Portugal (156) third.

You're seriously comparing UK with Iceland and Malta. Regardless of the league table you refer to the UK vaccine roll out was early and successful.

The unvaccinated now are ,I would suggest by choice, and in my opinion unless there is medical rationale, idiots.

Do you suggest we have mandatory vaccines as is happening in the EU we just left?

Personally I think a media figure like Neil Oliver has a better chance with that stuff. He doesn't have the same Tory boy baggage that Farage has.

He loves the country and its history, is strong on libertarianism and against identity politics....and is dismayed by the power given to and now abused by the alphabets.

I respect it but I think it's far too late myself. The fight against identity politics was lost decades ago and the majority waking up to that doesn't really change where power sits.

I think they have to start playing their own identity politics....but I realise that this isn't how people want to think...because they are too nice for their own good.

A nice guy like Neil Oliver would kind of represent that I think.....I would love him to succeed and prove me wrong.....because I'm arrogant enough as it is.

I just wish he would lose that rather affected cravate type thing he wears. However, he is an interesting and well researched speaker.

I agree a haircut and shave might help as well.

But undoubtedly a good guy.

Neil Oliver understands the centuries of struggle, building defences, sacrifices, loss of lives and battles for land, rights and freedoms are at risk of being chucked away by limp wristed ideologues in sh1t suits. Ironically most Scottish hate him, but they’re brainwashed by the SNP and sturgeon’s hard left aims that’ll end up sticking it to her supporters eventually.

I think the left far out number the right in the country....you only have to look at the leftish turn the conservatives took because we know that's all ultimately led by focus groups and opinion polls. Much as it pains me social conservatism is basically dead in Britain.

I'd like someone try and represent something other than the political monoculture we live under....but everybody's scared today. Even Neil Oliver talks about it in his speech.

The most conservative block in the UK and Europe generally are older white males....their parents were raised by the war generation and still have echoes of those more stoic conservative values....but as we slowly fade away the politicians want to attract the incoming lot.

This incoming lot haven't known hardship or real struggle so their concerns are egalitarian and basically the belief that champagne socialism can be the party that never ends.

That's going to be the hegemony until it collapses. God knows what happens then.....perhaps that will be the stage call for people like Oliver....but I doubt it.

At least only the vaccinated can get into Selhurst Park.

If you're disabled and vulnerable then it is arguably not fair but the greater good etc in this case

It will probably be someone more like Oliver Cromwell.

A lot of voices seem to be voicing that this is the beginning of the end for Johnson.

Perhaps I have over-estimated the man's tenacity? Still reckon the venal b****** will come through it all but suspect the local election in May 2022 could well be the barometer by which the Tory Party make their minds up about him.

Because it will be the Conservative Party who finishes him. Nobody else.

Yep, another Lord Protector....but probably not of our religion.

I have to say that after watching the rather pathetic resignation speech by Allegra Stratton that I felt rather sorry for her.

She was clearly on the verge of tears during it.....now I'm no fan of displays of weakness and she clearly isn't a type of Tory I have any connection to....However I have to say that the amount of abuse she was under is clearly not normal.

People see a video of her or Mogg and they think these people represent a type of evil to them and that anything is fair game.

They haven't knocked your granny over, people should pull their punches in relation to what's in front of them.....the hatred from the political side who claim to be against 'hate' is there for all to see.

I'm never going to be someone who wants speech regulated, in fact we need the opposite.....However, appeals to rationality and proportionality are another and the leftist media and their activists should take a long and hard look at themselves on that.

Ah yes. It is of course, the left’s fault that the government held lockdown parties and found it funny that they might have to cover it up while telling the rest of the country not to see their families or dying loved one’s.

You still got a warranty for that moral compass of yours?
