Wibble The article actually states there may be layoffs due to a combination of factors including NI, end of furlough and belt tightening by consumers. Actually apart from the idle rich etc. looking for a beneficiary of the tories '12 years of tory misrule' I would say Russia. Their corruption has enabled Russian wealth and ability to do what they are doing. For the next few years our dependency on fossil fuels and with it, Russian oil, will increase as the costs go through the roof. Political parties not in office cannot be blamed. 'The buck stops here'. No more 'Tony Blair' thank you, face up to what you have done.

People were extraordinarily compliant I’m not defending what they did just saying that for people working in an office to spend another couple of hours together doesn’t seem that serious - provided they maintained the same rules they presumably followed during the working day.
