I don't see any Premier League side wanting Zaha anymore. His attitude stinks and there are so many wingers who do their job more efficiently and consistently. On his day he is a special player but we rarely see those performances anymore. I don't think he will be sold for anymore than 7 million.

Even though I'm sure Parish would sell for £20/30mil, I really cant see there being many options for him.

The top 6 wont take him, as they already have better. He's likely on too high a wage for the next couple of teams. European teams wont pay his wages.

So he either runs his contract down and hopes (I guess like Andros) that he'll get a better offer. Or he signs a new contract and commits for life.

I never thought I'd ever say this, but I really hope Newcastle come in with something silly in Jan. Now might be our last chance to get some decent'ish money for him.

I wouldn't be as upset if he left as I once would have been, but I don't want anyone going to Newcastle who might help them, unless it is to help relegate them. Whatever anyone else thinks he's worth I also can't see Parish sanctioning a mid-season sale for anything less than at least £30 million as despite some poor performances he is still an important player for us.

He is not as important if he is replaced with a better player

That's true of any player, but the problem is it isn't that simple.

We sure missed a window. I mean we got offered £60m when wan Bissaka went for £50m and we all thought it was too little. Now it sounds like £20m would be good.
How times have changed.
When his contract is due on current structures it would have to be £70k max.
At that level he would probably attract £25m. But it’s way away yet so anything could happen/change.
He is still a very good footballer.

If it's true that Wilf isn't the player of, say, 2 years ago, he's hardly a spent force.

A run of below par performances and some of you are hanging him out to dry.

He's been one of the main reasons we have stayed in the Premier League for so long. He's earned a bit more respect than he's being shown on here.

Whilst I agree with you in part, he himself publicly tried to engineer a move away on several occasions because he wanted to test himself at a "bigger" club and I think for many people that tarnished his legacy at the club. His high standards got him that 130k per week deal. If he doesn't maintain those standards it's not a lack of respect to question whether he is earning those wages. Nevertheless, his own very high standards are also why his recent performances look so poor in contrast. He still looks more threatening than most of our forwards, if that's saying much.

In the last 12 months he also seems to have spent an increasing amount of time complaining at the referee, the opposition and his own teammates, while his output in contrast seems to have declined. Now when he loses the ball he often seems to make a half-hearted attempt to win it back before giving up. Vieira has been seen on the touchline giving him stick for it.

He still has an abundance of talent of course, but if he doesn't up his game soon he is in danger of going out with a whimper.

Yep by no means a spent force.

I'd go so far to say he IS the main reason we've lasted this long in the prem.

Mealy saying he doesn't (and hadn't for a while) felt like the maverick that would take players on and get the crowd on its feet. In the prem that mantle probably belongs to St Maximin

He's now 29, so is unlikely to get any better. He might get a new 4 year deal if he decides to stay, but this also be our last opportunity to command a decent fee.

Especially considering that other teams are picking up the likes of Gray, Cornet etc for relatively little money.

I wish he would shoot more often from outside the box. He has got a hell of a ferocious shot on him and should have a go way more often.

On the contrary, an equal amount of his shots are mis-hit scuffers. You never know what to expect...

I thought we only got 40m offers in and that over installments.

In the early part of the season I thought he looked as if he was getting his mojo back and he gave the impression he was actually enjoying his football.

However, in the last few matches he seems to be back to his petulant worst but without contributing much to the games.

I can't now see any club being willing to fork out much more than 20 million, particularly as he is now 29 years old. And it's unlikely to be a club in the top half of the table.
