Unless he agrees to an extension I can't see that.

Considering his price will be realistic with only 12 months left I see several clubs being interested.....and I think Zaha has been wanting to go for some time.

According to who?

Really hope Lampard accepts the Everton job and pinches him on loan. Number 8 or number 10 are positions we are well stocked. Would much prefer if we focused our attention/ budget on CDM, RB or CB (backup).

Similar sentiments expressed by some people I have engaged in conversation. They argue that we cannot defend set-plays and have issues at right-back yet we seek to attract a player on loan who has made his name as a No 10.
Like you, they would prefer re-inforcements in other positions.

Looks like Lampard wants him. I find it strange that Palace fans don’t want him, still all a matter of opinion I suppose

My opinion, for what it is worth, is that many supporters see a player who made his name as a No 10 (We don't play this position),a player who has only made 4 starts at Man Utd and not cemented a place under both Solskjaer and Rangnick, and don't see the midfield as a real priority for strengthening.
Just my thoughts and of course could be utter rhubarb.

Or maybe it’s because our recent record of signing Ajax prodigies is not that great, Riedevald has hardly set the premier league on fire, in the same way that VDB hasn’t at United

I agree.

Although Van De Beek would give us more options we need strengthening elsewhere.

Ward has been a great servant for the club but has been shown vulnerable recently. I was really impressed by McNamara from Millwall when we played them in the FA Cup.

Perhaps it's just my imagination but i've always thought that Donny van der Beek was dutch for Donald Duck!

Whereas I've always thought he was your Dutch cousin!

No buy option and we pay all the wages. In the meantime Jesurun Rak-Sakyi might be loaned out. Why can't we develop our own players rather than someone else's? If we get towards the end of the season safe with games in hand, I would rather see some of our own academy players in the mix. If they are not good enough, then what are we doing wrong at that level?

Worry i have with signing him is that PV will play him in Conors spot and play Conor deeper where he is clearly more ineffective

We are getting to the time of year where injuries & suspensions mount up & if we can have an extra player available without it causing too much disturbance in the named 25 then why not -

Maybe its part of the development plan / experiments for next year / going forward -

Also its a lot easier to say that we need to strengthen other positions & I for one have faith that we are trying to do so, obviously its a lot harder to do than it is to say - for example, can anyone name 3 right backs, that would improve our team / squad & that are available ? (clearly that's just an example but you get what I mean)
