The second very frustrating watch in 3 days. For all the possession we had, we looked toothless around the opposition penalty area and it was always going to take another wonder goal for us to find the net. It certainly wasn't going to come from a corner.

Would Liverpool have got that penalty?

Dominated large parts of the game but slow in possession and created absolutely nothing. Neither side demonstrated any quality on the ball. Only positive being the clean sheet.

The blame for this sits with Vieira. I understand starting Ayew in away games to offer more support to Ward, however, it was clear Brentford offered little going forward. Subs were needed much earlier to give them a chance to impact the game.

2 points from these last two games is piss poor. Minimum was 4. Saints managed 4 points from Spurs and Utd away so our 2 against Norwich and Brentford looks pathetic.

Next up are Chelsea, Burnley & Watford. 6 points or we are bang in trouble.
