There is nothing I can say about the above that hasn’t already said about your worldview in general.

What Wisbech said is spot on.
What exactily is your position - do you support Putin's invasion of Ukraine?

What he said was rubbish.

So what you see on TV is exactly what has happened is it.

Don't think for yourself just nod along to the telly and politician and think what you are told to think.

People who believe in 'good v evil' narratives and manipulated narratives of history yet wish to eliminate religion are nothing but replacement liars like the fantasy narratives of religion itself. Every word he says is propaganda towards his own ends in the same way you'd expect from an ex marketing and sales manager.

You stand with WE, it's your new standard.

It's really disappointing to see you in danger of becoming an apologist for a fascist dictator, the rant you have posted is pretty nuts, Wisbech merely made some obvious observations.

State what I have apologised for? Putin is clearly who started the war.

Nato has responsibility for mismanagement over thirty years. Putin did not start out anti Nato by any stretch of a balanced understanding of history. The reason we are here isn't some simplistic 'good v evil', it's a complete and utter disaster of statecraft management.

You have directly just supported believing everything coming at you from the media and politicians. I literally couldn't believe what I was reading considering your past contributions. You write that you wholeheartedly agree with possibly the biggest pusher of nonsense this site has ever known.

This banging of the drum for cold war amazes me considering what the cost is.

Certainly I agree with Wisbech on this issue even if I diagree with most of his other views. Certainly I reject the idea that NATO is responsible for Putin invading Ukraine. There is no 100% good or 100% evil, but certainly I think that Putin weighs heavily on the evil side of the scales.

I'm not on Putin's side or Russia's side. I don't agree with any of it. I want the Ukrainians to fight off the Russians but I know that's not going to happen.

The side I'm on is living through this with my two boys. If I and them are going to die I would at least want it to be for something worth dying for and that isn't for a completely avoidable war caused by incredible levels of greed and incompetence.

There is no 'good v evil' in statecraft, unfortunately there is bullying and winning....little different to the playground just with educated words. There are empires and client states. Ukraine has been a client state of the US since the 2014 coup....not democratic by the way. The meddling is why Putin decided to take the Russian speaking parts of Ukraine, which is why Zelenskyy easily won election in 2019.

If you want to believe WE and think that once the Russians gave up East Berlin fine with the idea that Nato would be moving east and placing missles in Poland and Romania and all that was in the search for greater peace with Russia then I guess our rational understanding of the world completely differs.

If you want to believe that the rise of Putin and his move away from engagement with the west to its enemy can all be explained by 'Putin evil' then go ahead and ra ra with WE, your new buddy.

Keep believing the telly, at worst we'll end up dead and at best just poorer...I hope you can afford that by the way....but at least you'll happy in the belief only one guy is to blame for it.

We all know, as does Putin, that NATO would not attack Russia. NATO was and is a defence organistation largely existing to counter the threat of aggression from Russia. Putin demonstrates that neccessity of it. To think that he would be a nice guy if not for NATO is daft. Also of course, by invading Ukraine he will have NATO on his new border.

So once again, would the US accept missiles in Cuba? Russia can also play the 'defensive game'. Talk is talk and just perception management, what matters is how long it takes the missiles to reach their targets and whether you can counter that.

What is the logic in Nato playing this dangerous game? Buffer zones up against empires makes much more sense.

Nato is the arm of the western empire designed to protect against Russia. Yet Nato has been mismanaged and has created the conditions for the very thing it was meant to avoid.

Now we stand on the edge of war and apparently it's 'look no hands'. Apparently it takes one to tango.

At the very least that should give you pause to reconsider.

As with Steeleye in your camp on this should give you cause for concern.

Actually he hasn't seemed to be in it for some days.

And I don't think you can find one post where he expresses support for anyone's take other than his own. Unlike yourself who has expressly supported WE.

I'm supporting his general view on the war, should I not just because it is him?
