Unfortunately there’s many twitter idiots looking for popularity when they don’t realise they’re going from understanding what’s led us here to tweeting the hell out of anything to help Putin. Just because they had a good point on covid laws, it doesn’t mean they’re arbiters of European borders and legitimacy of what Putin is doing, while they don’t even realise they’re doing it, plus tweets pretty much saying Ukraine should’ve surrendered. What a great idea. Encourage more invasions of the other non NATO neighbours. Then there’s idiotic comments on sanctions. Ironically Twitter today is as self serving as today’s politicians.

While I'm of the dissident right, though I like to think of myself as more of a social conservative, like all groups it comes with different divisions. At the moment this is one of the divisions within it.

I'm not going to defend morons making crass posts on Twitter rejoicing in Putin 'being our guy'. It isn't even true anyway and they have little knowledge nor probably care.

There is that dissident right element, lets call it the Fuentes crowd, who are part troll and will support any anti western regime that is more socially conservative purely upon the grounds that trans story hour and gay marriage isn't allowed. Half of is more for the memes than any serious treatment of the issue, they are rejectionists similar in some ways to the anti western/white elements on the left.

Then there are those who, though they are social conservatives and also against social degeneracy and the poison taught by social liberalism they also believe in the right for any nation to defend itself from an invader. I think this is where I am. Sure, I might agree that this situation has come about via criminal and disastrous mismanagement but at the end of the day the people dying and suffering didn't ask for any of this and when civilians are dying from shells it's Putin's tanks and artillery doing that. I can't defend shedding the blood of the innocent. Putin had other options and he's the criminal.

But that's just my take.

I'm not someone who believes that strongly in creating big deals over disagreements on my own side....the right are autistic enough as it is and everyone is one argument from hating each other which to my mind is not seeing the woods for the trees....variation is natural, only the main core ideas really matter and all views deserve a level of respect rather than lots of bathwater being lost.

let's see your sources, I refer back a few pages, surely you know unless you are just spouting the proverbial.

There is a Forest Gump quote that seems apt.

Sources for propaganda.

1. How about the “ghost of kiev”?
2. How about “Snake Island”?
3. How about the Russian tank that deliberately ran over Ukrainian car in Kiev when there were no Russians in Kiev?

I mean how many do you want?

Russian tanks shelling a tower block
[Link]

Russia also has a tactic of randomly shooting at civillian targets purely to see who shoots back & thus they engage those who return fire, they have a name for it but cant remember what its called.

I can only see two plays for the Ukrainians. One is holdout so that pressure or overthrow results in Putin's forces leaving Ukraine.....I view this as highly unlikely but who knows.

The other is that the west join in a military war.....something I regard as completely bonkers and which significantly increases the risk of us all getting killed and humanity not recovering for god knows how long.

The Russians are obviously shelling and attacking to gain ground....it's a mincer and anyone not in a shelter is carrying a risk of death just being near military because a battlefield carries no guarantees.

Certain attacks that gain large traction in the media need to come with a level of scepticism. The fog of war means that, unless drones are catching footage of it we can rarely be sure of who does what.

I'm not saying that the Ukrainians are committing war crimes against their own side to encourage western military involvement but this kind of thing has happened in the past.....it's a hell mary for them because they aren't going to beat the Russians.

The main crowd I’m talking about get their info and influence from James Melville. They pretend to know what they’re talking but it’s like the infants have taken over the school. Useful during covid but a potential danger during wartime. They think they’re doing the right thing and you’d find they agree with everything you say too. But they don’t filter anything under their noses and just retweet anything that’s giving the west flack or puts a positive spin on Putin’s views or geographical right’s. What they’re effectively doing is justifying Putin recapturing the Soviet Union without knowing they’re doing it because they can’t break their addiction of being the font of alternative knowledge or untold news.
