Yes.

You're also right that it's a bit of a pedantic point being that it was just a continuation of that character's story.

Apparently the BBC ended it for politically correct reasons even though it was popular and the writer wanted to continue.

Yes I think you’re right, all I remember is it was the 1980’s version.

Strangely the fella that played the gay black character is now a fireman in Chicago Fire,which is hard to get my head around, just shows what a good actor he is

I'm not sure it's that unlikely, I mean the actor who played Frank Spencer is now the Syrian President.

He was also in Oz in a part which was very different to Marigold.
