The article his piece is based on another written by Paul R McHugh, who comes from the same stable, but is probably even more extreme. He too is a practicing Catholic. Many of his views are dismissed by specialist scientists.

I think it is safe to conclude that this article needs to be read in context and taken with a bucket of salt.

Sir, as you seem to rely on the BBC for impartial news that doesn’t have an agenda, but the Mail seeks to educate its readers with omission whilst stressing other facts, let me refer you to a recent news item about a Muslim girl taking her school to court over prayers being banned on site. BBC will have you saying ‘poor girl’ how awful. Read the same article on Sky and see how they mention that the pupil knew of the ban before joining and how her mother specifically wanted her at the school because of its strict policies.

As most here will be aware I do not accept the BBC is biased. I think it is always objective within its remit and those who perceive bias only do so because of their own.

Outlets that openly state political objectives fall into a totally different category.

The BBC don’t omit any more facts than any other media and a lot less than some.

They select facts based on their position as our national public broadcaster. They are always going to reflect mainstream,opinion and call out the extremes, slightly extreme, slightly, heavily extreme, heavily, whether of the left or right. Those on the left or right don’t like that because they don’t think they are biased. They think they are correct and represent majority opinion which is just in the closet waiting to be let out.

It’s obvious to everyone. Except those on the left or the right.
