Note also that COVID deaths should be linked to demographics

Germany has an older population than the UK for example

By population density we were 14th in Europe.

I did look at the WHO information. That is on excess deaths. A similar pattern. Britain has performed relatively poorly. Only a dummy would ignore the link he posted himself

Only someone like you would draw that cock eyed conclusion.

It has been clear for many years that you live on a different planet.

BBC News has had reporters or correspondents quoting that London is like or is effectively a different country to the rest of the country, so Hrolf’s view, although exaggerating, is shared by left wing bbc news. I turned off when I heard the usual - higher educated voters. Yeah, but they all clear out when they want to raise a child.

We did better than most of the other big countries.

Accept that and you will sleep better.

It was Europe you quoted. Your WHO data were 4 months more dated than the Statista data by the way.

Now, the claim from the Government has always been we way outperformed our peers.

So I loaded the full data set from the WHO. Rate per 100,000 population for the two years of 2020 and 2021.

We are 139 out of 194 countries worldwide. I shall repeat that, we are in the 72nd percentile.

Now, of the large and wealthy European countries our rate was the same as that of Spain and marginally better than Germany, which has an average age of 51.06 compared to 46.96 in the UK. Germany's normal mortality rate is 11.17 deaths, the UK's 9.33.

We also had fewer deaths than Italy, which as you will remember went into a healthcare meltdown.

The European countries that had fewer excess deaths per 100,000 population than the UK were, in order:

Norway
Finland
Ireland
Denmark
Cyprus
Switzerland
Malta
Sweden
France
Austria
Belgium
Netherlands
Greece
Portugal

It absolutely boils my p*ss when BoJo raves about what a great job we did with the virus and vaccinations, something he seems to be hanging his hat on for his political survival. We didn't, we did pretty meh.

[Link]

We have fewer people fully vaccinated than the following European countries:

Norway
Germany
Finland
France
Belgium
Italy
Ireland
Denmark
Spain
Malta
Portugal

The good news is we are slightly better than Bangladesh.

I strongly recommend you either stop reading the Daily Mail or try to complement that with something informative. You could also try digging into the Mail's data sources as I did.

Surely you mean that have to move to a nice white middle class area because mom or grandmother is sick and needs to be cared for. Otherwise they would have stayed in multicultural London which they love.

In terms of European population density in the main countries, the order is:

Malta
Netherlands
Belgium
UK

You will note that each of these three had fewer excess deaths than the UK

Then come Luxembourg, Germany and Italy

To give you some idea, Germany is 85% as dense as the UK.
