I would like to march to bring back pounds, shillings and pence. Who's with me?

The one I've noticed especially after living over here is what I call Metric creep, especially prevalent with the Euro leaning BBC
they'll trot out something on their website along the lines of
1/ And Framk Smith is claiming a World Record of crawing 1243 Meters with his bollocks covered in treacle.
2/ A chines couple have set a World Record by having twins each weighing 3.17513 Kilos???
3/ It's being reported that Quantas have broken the record for a Non stop flight between Oslo in Norway & Papua New Guinea fueled only on recycled banana skins at a distance of 13.000 KMs
4/ John Clark is claiming a Guinness World record of drinking 3.977 Millitres of his wifes urine whilst singing Land of Hope & Glory in Pidgen.
Am I the only person still using pounds, Pints & Inches & Miles ?

Let's rid ourselves of such obviously invented measurements, meaning little in reality. All sounds a bit French to me.

I think the pandemic had quite a lot to do with rising prices! Around here anyway as people escaped the cities and worked from home in a cheaper, rural environment. Then there was the stamp duty holiday! Stock markets, to my inexpert eye, depend on international trends more than national. The employment situation appears to have more impacted by the pandemic and the flight of EU nationals he than anything else. Was that forecasted? I

You do make me laugh. Various lame excuses to deflect from project fear being exactly that - scaremongering, while at the same time you lay the severity of current problems at the door of Brexit.
House prices reached new heights before the pandemic. The stock market did not crash after Brexit as predicted by Remainers. A recession was also predicted and that did not happen either.

Could you imaging the wailing and gnashing of teeth if a school mental arithmetic test had 'How much would a bakers dozen at thruppence three farthings each cost?'

...and that would just be the teachers...

As someone who is currently having to check the actual ONS statistics on house prices for the last few years (unrelated reasons) I suggest you do the same. They were rising, but slowly. Then they rocketed, everywhere except London.

I have already dealt with the stock market. We are in a recession, not caused only by Brexit but it hasn’t helped. Brexit was a bad move. Eventually even the most die hard Little Englander will have to admit it.

Remainers aren’t seen in bookies. They’ve got more sense than to waste their money hoping things will go their way.

But you guys said that house prices and the stock market would fall and there would be an immediate recession after Brexit - the exact opposite happened.

Brexit / Pandemic / Ukraine conflict - All 3 situations have had major global economic impact & for sure we are in a rough situation now which looks like its going to get worse before it gets better - - where I find it challenging is to understand which situation has impacted the various facets of life the most - i.e is the housing market situation more because of Brexit or the Pandemic or conflict / economic / political migrants ? same with supply issues, cost of living etc etc etc -

I suspect I am not the only one.
