We had a massive attacking improvement last season with PV in charge, we’re now showing the same improvement with Roy coming back……it’s starting to look like whoever is in charge, it’s the players reacting positively to the managerial change both times. So maybe credit to Parish for freshening it up both times when he did?

Or maybe the start of last season the players had some decent coaching in them, which was coached out of them over the season

Both Roy and Vieira had very good records against teams below us (Vieira's was actually better than Roy's, albeit over a shorter period). Would Roy have got more points from our run of fixtures after Christmas? Old Roy suggests not, but new Roy suggests possibly! Roy was right today when he said after the game that you have to enjoy these days knowing darker ones are always round the corner. Whichever way you look at it our fixture list was stupid this season and I think it really dented the players' (and Vieira's) confidence. I think changing manager just before the so-called easier games was good timing, but we'll never know if PV would have got the same results. Remember it was similar earlier in the season when Leeds dominated, when 1-0 up and then second half they ran out of steam we were the better team and ended up winning with an Eze goal from an Olise cross.
