You seem to have little grasp of how football transfers are often drawn out procedures and can charge at anytime.
The unhealthy thirst for knowing what is going on, leads to disappointment, if you believe all you read.

It’s very down heartening seeing all these crap rumours about Olise, Guehi , Anderson and Doucoure leaving and only mentioned with gray franca & schuurs coming in.
Management and players are talking about going to the next level but we can’t do that if we’re buying players like gray & schuurs who will sit on bench unless we sell one of the cb and olise. We have to build our future around our young guns as we did around wilf in past.
I’d like peoples opinions on our American owners cause they are just there for show as to me if they can buy a nfl team you can spare some money for players
I have said to many of friends it’s no good spending millions on a nice stadium and then get relegated cause we sell our best players to balance books.

14m Euros works out as just over 12m Pounds, so yeah, there's a discrepancy there.

Clearly you are a transfer expert so I’m sure you’ll agree that seeing as the Franca deal is completed that will unlikely change? I mean he was in flamengos last match squad but why let a small detail like this make anyone reconsider the validity of the resident ITK. Unfortunately the apologists who are supporting this windup merchant are now just doing so for the sake of defending him.

As everyone has said there’s merit in posting gossip from social media and consolidating into a thread on HOL for those that don’t access Twitter and such like but that isn’t what’s happening here. ‘I’ve been told’ is all takes and is being presented as inside information aka ITK. Even when time and time again it’s shown to be nonsense. When you make sweeping statements like ‘it’s done’ to ensure some credibility and doesn’t come off all he has to say is it’s in good faith and the apologists lap it up. The posts are an ego trip for themselves and thrives off the few followers they have left.

Obviously the apologists will rush to the defence as usual but if you are going to present concrete statements on transfers of the club which invariably are proven to be incorrect you have to expect it to be challenged. Info on the club can be emotive and posting misleading information is going to cause a backlash. If the apologists don’t like it, ignore it.

There’s plenty of examples on here of posters posting rumours but unlike some they provide a link and source which is far more reliable than hoodwinking a certain section or HOL by just saying ‘I’ve been told’

I agree. This all comes back to good recruitment, which we’ve had some success in recently. Look at Brighton, if we were to follow this model it can only be a good thing for the club. Hasn’t done them too badly. As you say we are in a position of having substantial player assets, when has that ever really been the case. We rarely sell anyone of note, bar AWB in recent times. Player sales is a real issue for the club commercially.
