As an aside & it will p'ee EbDN right off, my ex-partner was 19 years younger than me & no, she wasn't a teenager when we met, a bit older.

I'm not an egalitarian so I'm not wedded to equality, I'm more interested in utilitarianism....what can actually work.

Boys are different as they can't get pregnant from 12/13.
However obviously underage sex is something that isn't a good thing for either sex for obvious reasons.....I just see it as far more concerning for girls and I think many of us do.

However, am I as bothered by a 30 year old woman shagging a 15 year old boy? No, unless she gets pregnant it's not something that would be keeping me up at night as a problem.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think it's good obviously and it's still an abuse of the age dynamic and underage but unless it's forced it's more weird on her part than a problem.

Good answer, see where you are coming from on this subject.

Btw, my post wasn't aimed at you, just a generalisation for the subject matter.

I think you had a perfectly valid question. Some may feel differently to me but I think it's how many of us see it.

I had meant to discuss this and the double standards and cancel culture some time back but forgot. The name that sprung to mind almost immediately was Boy George. Convicted but not cancelled. Always on TV in fact and the music played all the time. I know it's not his real name but don't really want to look him up.

John Barrowman apparently exposing yourself these days is no longer a crime or socially unacceptable. I just checked his website still busy so he seems to have swerved the cancel stuff, I wonder why.

Is he gay or mental, or a bit of both?

George O'Dowd. His mum was Irish.

I used to work with a girl who went to school with him, and she said he was a weirdo back then.
I have never disliked him, but he used to steal from people coats when he had a cloak room job at the Blitz club, and has had a chequered past involving drugs and alleged false imprisonment.

I guess he has served his time.

Nothing alleged about it he was convicted (15 months) which was kinda the posters point. Some people are cancelled without due process whilst others are convicted and it is overlooked.

I am aware of that. He denied some of the charges.

There is no greater example than Michael Jackson.

I'm sure fans, especially Black ones, would have remained faithful even if he had been found guilty.
