That's a shame. No chance of becoming a Bachelor of Eagleology or a Doctor of Selhurstian Studies then.

And they haven’t. No troops on the ground but allowing all the bulls*** protests has clearly backed Hamas.
BTW steeleye I’m going to Rochester cathedral tomorrow to watch an orchestra play hans zimmer movie music. I know that’s a bit of us. Among our disagreements we have a common link

Do you think protests should be stopped because you disagree with their message?

To suggest the permitting of protests means you support the cause is a quite ridiculous notion and entirely separate from the principles of free speech.

Protests should be stopped if they break the law, simple.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

How amusing. How very typical. People don't like the truth they don't like facts so instead they make excuses AI hilarious.
You can't a face a strong argument, so you resort to making excuses because you have no valid counterpoint or are uncomfortable admitting you are wrong. I can accept that. I know I'm right. You know I'm right. It's just a way to deflect rather than engage in meaningful discussion.

This is how the woke fraternity works. Everybody knows that.

Truth and facts and honesty are uncomfortable to people whose morals are skewed

I heard a very interesting discussion on Radio 4 this morning. Sorry but I cannot specify the participants as I was driving at the time. It concerned the support being given to Iran by both Russia and China, with China also supporting Russia. It was detailed with many strands but essentially as they all feel they have a common enemy in the western democracies so they have overlocking interests, but not shared objectives.

Apparently China purchases 80% of Iran’s oil, using the Yuan, at a heavily discounted rate, having found a way around the sanctions. Russia is mimicking Iran in adopting similar strategies to get around sanctions and in dealing with an unsettled population in an authoritarian state. China has no interest in disrupting the western economies as they need their markets, whilst Russia and Iran do, especially Iran.

The argument made was that we tend to see the wars in Ukraine and Gaza separately but that they are linked. The argument being that Iran has been emboldened by the relative weakness of the western response to Russia over Ukraine and especially by the threat of NATO becoming weaker as a result of a second Trump presidency.

It is notable that the Ukrainian war is now largely out of the headlines. There’s not been a post here about it for over 2 weeks.

Lots to think about!

I am hardly new, but I admit I can be verbose at times.

I am not though a lefty! I am a centralist who believes in capitalism with social responsibility. I only appear left to those who are themselves on the hard right fringe.

Some of the writing does have the flavour of AI authorship. No one has said it is. How could they know? Only that it reads like it. Maybe a new career awaits as a sub editor for AI output?

The oppression of Jewish people has a long and complex history, spanning centuries. Here are some notable examples of Jewish oppression, though this is by no means an exhaustive list:

1. Ancient Times: In ancient Egypt, Jewish people, along with other Hebrews, were subjected to slavery and mistreatment. This oppression continued until their liberation, as described in the biblical book of Exodus.

2. Expulsion from Judea: In 70 AD, the Roman Empire destroyed the Second Temple in Jerusalem and expelled Jewish people from Judea. This marked the beginning of the Jewish diaspora, a period of dispersion and persecution.

3. Medieval Europe: In medieval Europe, Jewish communities faced significant persecution. They were subjected to discriminatory laws, restricted from owning land, and often forced to live in segregated areas known as ghettos. Pogroms, violent attacks against Jewish communities, were also common.

4. The Inquisition: During the Spanish Inquisition of the 15th century, Jewis

5. Present day: anti semitism on the rise. I hate that word it's just pure racism nothing else. Just like Hitler convinced the Germans that the Jews were the bad people. Now the woke fraternity is doing the same.

It's time to wake up. Blaming ,free democracies for the evils of terrorism and the aftermath of terrorist attacks.

You reap what you sow.

I typed into ChatGPT this morning: "tell me about the historic oppression of Jewish people" and I'm attaching a screen shot of what it told me.

Amazingly similar in content and style to the above post!

Have a look at my most recent post - it's clear as day.

It even numbers every point the same way the poster does.

For those misguided people who think they can compare Hamas to the UK government being any UK government.
Here are some more facts for you which won't change your mind but at least you'll know the truth.

Hamas, also known as the Islamic Resistance Movement, is a Palestinian political and military organization that operates in the Gaza Strip. It is regarded as a terrorist group by several countries, including the United States, Israel, and the European Union. Comparing Hamas to other governments around the world requires an analysis of its structure, ideology, governance, and international recognition.

1. Structure and Governance:
Hamas is decentralized and its structure includes political, military, and social wings. It has an elected leadership, with Ismail Haniyeh serving as the current head of its political bureau. However, the group's decisions often involve consultation with its broader leadership and key figures. In terms of governance, Hamas primarily operates within the Gaza Strip, where it maintains control over various aspects of administration, including security, education, and social services.

2. Ideology:
Hamas is an Islamist organization with the goal of liberating all of Palestine from Israeli occupation and establishing an Islamic state in the area. It is deeply rooted in Islamic fundamentalism and seeks to implement Sharia law. This ideology sets Hamas apart from many other governments around the world, which may have diverse political, ideological, or secular frameworks.

3. International Recognition:
Hamas faces limited international recognition compared to recognized governments. While it has support from some countries and organizations, such as Iran, Turkey, and Qatar, the majority of countries do not recognize it as a legitimate government or have designated it as a terrorist group due to its involvement in violence and attacks against Israeli civilians.

4. Popular Support and Elections:
Hamas gained significant support in the 2006 Palestinian legislative elections and secured a parliamentary majority, which led to a political divide with the Fatah-led Palestinian Authority. However, it has not held subsequent elections, raising concerns about democratic processes and accountability.

When comparing Hamas to other governments, it is essential to recognize that there are substantial differences in legitimacy, international recognition, and adherence to democratic principles. While Hamas governs a specific region, it faces limited international recognition due to its ideological stance and militant activities, differentiating it from most governments globally.

I asked ChatGPT to compare Hamas and the UK Government - attached is the reply...
