I'd take Uncle Tom Cobley who, although somthing of an unknown quantity, has never lost a game.

I fear we shall soon be in such a desperate state that he will be in the running as a candidate on the basis of 'can't be worse than the existing incumbent'

Whoever it will be, will have a term of around 18 months if any of the past incumbents are to go by.
Excepting Roy Hodgson of course. If Roy completes this season he'll have been at the helm for over 5 seasons, remarkable really, and it says everything about our ambition and what is expected considering the means at our disposal.
With the board in seeming disarray, the much vaunted "next level" will remain a fantasy whilst things stay as they are.
Nevertheless, I am intrigued to discover who the new manager will be, pending hopefully another lower mid-table finish.

Didn't take long for this to be suggested. No, No & No, he'll go to Sandcastle or Saudi.

Would be a shock for him to come here and find that the bus has not only already been parked, but has declared as off the road (SORN).

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

A manager I hold in high regard is Mark Robins of Coventry.

That made me laugh! It was the SORN that done it.

I used to imagine a Mourinho at palace. Always wondered what kind of tune the likes of him, pep or Klopp would get out of team like Palace where it’s about working with brains not money. I still think of the 3 of them he would actually do alright for us and we would likely get a good cup run while he was there. Press conference’s would be entertaining too.
On negative side, I can’t believe how downhill his career went. Not sure who got it worse at Man U… Jose or Wilf. Wilf nightmare turned out ok for us maybe it’s not the strangest thing for Jose to turn up at Palace. Also I remember a number of times him saying how much he liked the atmosphere at Selhurst. Stranger things have happened.

No Carrick thoughts Lanzo?

I have to ask who Will Sills is though? Is he any relation to Will Still?
