Can you name a predominantly black country that's thriving ? Can you name a predominantly black area that's thriving ? Korea is 70 years old and it's one of the richest countries in the world. Thailand and the Philippines are both developing countries, compare manilla and Bangkok to any city in sub Saharan Africa. Before we start using colonisation as an excuse, India probably suffered worse at the hands of the British, they're now one of the richest countries in the world. Then we can compare Arabic African countries to sub Saharan ones.

I mean you're still just loosely comparing economies with no data or context.

The IMF has 10 of the top 20 fastest growing economies in the world for 2024 in sub-Saharan Africa.

'Korea' is not a country - North Korea has one of the worst performing economies on the planet.

India 'might' have suffered worse at the hands of the British empire, but there were many other empires colonising Africa over a much longer period. India also has the 2nd largest population on the planet, which is ever-so slightly relevant when talking about economies.

There is no data or science to support what you're saying - just vague soundbites about cities and countries isn't proof of anything beyond your own prejudice and ignorance.

What are you actually suggesting with your 'proof'? That black people are economically or intellectually inferior to the rest of the planet? Say it with your chest man.

Presumably the former being any country or Nation-State ? and the latter being any neighbourhood anywhere ?

I would attempt to answer your question. If you could help me with a definition of 'thriving'. is it....

- A thriving high-tech local economy, high earnings & tax payments, low crime , expensive housing and a thriving education sector...especially in terms of academic publications.

or

- a thriving drugs economy, high levels of illigitimacy & single parent families & thriving levels of teenage pregnancy, governmental corruption & financial flagrancy, long-term unemployment, family breakdown, thriving gangs with thriving levels of competition for the drugs trade, Shanty town housing - thriving numbers of new builds every week, short life-expectancy and a thriving funeral undertakers industry, thriving sales of pitbulls & machetes, thriving employment in security, personal protection & corner-shop armed supervisor types etc.

Once i get a definition of your terms, we could try to begin to answer your question. The two links below have nothing to do with race and any similarity is purely coincidental....

Yeah I clearly wasn't talking about the one under a communist dictator, that's with very few natural resources aswell.

Okay let's compare Nigeria, also colonised by the British,to India. The richest country in Africa with the 6th largest population in the world, yet ranks 39th for country by gdp.

10 of the 20 fastest countries in the world, how many of them 10 are currently being colonised by China ?

Ah, so now things like politics and natural resources become relevant to an economy - no such nuance in your previous summaries.

India has a population over 6 times that of Nigeria - a better comparison would be pakistan… I’ll let you check your GDP rankings.

Well yeah it's quite clear the reason people are starving in Africa is down to politics, its not going to be down to the most fertile land they live on is it.

Uk earners by ethnicity, top, British Chinese, then Indian, then white. Bottom Bangladesh, pakistan, black, maybe pakistan was a better comparison. There must be cultural similarities.

It's getting a bit tiring constantly moving the goalposts when your previous point falls on it's arse - it was crime, then it was economic performance, now it's earning in the UK.

ok, so compare a black and a white neighbourhood in any Western Country. And we can forget all about oil wells, copper mines and fertile agricultural land. And also ignore the d1ckheads at Westminster.

Bromley-by-Bow versus Cheam then ?

Newham versus Beckenham ?

an interesting comparison and surely relevant to the title of the OP.

Khan's Lawless London...... its a hell of a contrast to the 1970's

Two observations to make on this comment.

Firstly, 'fastest growing' is quite easy when starting from such dramatically low bases. It's not a sign of economic success, but rather of potential.....which is still largely true for much of Africa....at least in theory (oh boy, many a fortune lost on that one).

Second, these growing economies aren't down to Africans pulling up these countries by their bootatraps. It's from outside investment by BRICs (especially China) or the west.

Some of it is bribe money for support and some of it is good old resource exploitation.....because like I implied Africa still has huge resources.

Whatever some of us may think about Israel's right to be there or be doing what it does....the point people make about Jews turning Palestine from a relative sh1tehole to a wealthy and productive country is a valid one.

We only have to look at say Egypt's economy in comparison to point out that some peoples and cultures are far more productive than others.

It couldn't be less interesting - you're just using the exact same flawed method of cherry-picking locations to fit a pre-determined conclusion, but now for areas rather than countries.

men pee standing up and women pee sitting down. Its a pre-determined conclusion. And then i can cherry pick a ton of data to fit the conclusion. In every country, place, time and shoe size. The methodology , the data and the conclusion are all in consonance.

oh professor. remind us again of your superior methodology ? some Marxist idea of a big conspiracy theory. It explains why one country invents iPhones and the other country is stuck in the Bronze age.....all just one big conspiracy.

help us again to understand Violent crime in Khan's Lawless London ? And my urination analogy above is really a request that you keep your beliefs close to the actual evidence.

Okay so let's look at national crime statistics, 4% of the population responsible for 50% of all knife crime. Let's just say every black person left this country, do you genuinely belive it would have a massive impact on our economy ? No, would it have a massive effect on crime rates ? Yes. What's the benefit of migrants from Africa over migrants from Asia ?
