Sorry, but I just don't buy the excuse that we should treat people of other religions and races badly just because that's the treatment we might receive if we were in another country. I know that Christians in particular, and whites in general, are persecuted in many countries around the world, but since when does someone else doing something wrong make it right for you to do it back? Treating other people with respect is the way you are most likely to gain their trust. Yes, you may get some people who think you're there to be a pushover, but I believe the majority respond positively to that attitude in this country, and become more likely to integrate.
