When it came to it, the case for the status quo was not strong enough. Blame Cameron and the Remain campaign if you are going to blame anyone, not individuals who made a free choice on the matter. As I have said, this isn't the end of this. A new deal from Brussels will ensue, a second referendum and Britain voting for that. The establishment will never let us leave the EU, despite all the bluster from Brussels today.

How do you think I will feel? I am less bothered about me, I do care for the coming generation which already has to support the unsustainable weight of the earlier generations. I do not accept the case for the status quo wasn't strong enough, that will become clear as our future unfolds. We just had sh*t politicians who failed to explain the real issues and who didn't understand the depth of disenfranchisement of so many people. Those who were in a good position to know the likely effects but still chose to pursue this path need to carry the burden. Some did it for personal gain, some because of the excitement of the risk. But they knew they were gambling with the future of my children. They did not have that right. Look at how the young people voted, they didn't want to gamble because they had more to lose. And by the way, boasting about making a pile of money out of the misery of others didn't play well. I appreciate the implied positive comment on my normal postings, even if we don't always see eye to eye. I take a different view with regards the EU. It is inherently corrupt and the EU is neither one thing nor the other. It is not a superstate and not a common market. The result is that we are exposed to vanity and the excesses of an elite who will pour taxpayers money into their pet projects, such as the Euro, which was created off of the back of, at best, dubious financial data. We have voted to free ourselves from this. This is surely better for the country and the next generation. However, I still believe we never leave the EU. Prepare yourself for a new deal and another vote in the next 12 months. Britain will vote for that.

It does annoy me that the generation who will be affected most, who have already seen the removal of free education, greater privatisation of the NHS and the disappearance of affordable housing now have effectively had this decided by many people over the age of 65. Corbyn has to go now. The experiment failed spectacularly.
Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time. |
