Whatever happens, there will always be a single market. European countries will still trade with us, even with tariffs. In or out of the EU, we can freely trade with a couple of (hundred) others, tariffs or not. Unless the science bods invent warp drive, there is only one market. At the moment we have both Danish bacon and New Zealand lamb. Do you think leaving the EU will change that? Or will it merely push up the price of bacon, and reduce the price of lamb due to tariffs? Whichever, the household basket will remain at the same cost. Roughly.

What about the constant references to Norway wot Nige said was the model we should follow.

We don't have as many Christmas trees to sell, he should have researched that

Chris Patten. Former EU commissioner. Yeah, totally and utterly unbiased view of someone desperate to protect his EU pension.

I find it amusing you accusing Brexiteers of being delusional while totally ignoring the delusional Remainers like Tony Blair, Fallon, and all the rest who feel their wishes mean more than the 52% who voted for Brexit.

I wonder how many of the 51.9% voted for a Hard Brexit?

A second referendum would be rather interesting now that there is clarity.

Farage said he "feared" a Norway style arrangement, he did not want one.

Me for one. Can be as hard as they like - declare war on the EU for all I care.

They should be as concerned as the millions of American and other non-EU nationals who live in Europe should be, ie not concerned at all (apart from the on-going problems of the EU that will blight their lives).

I've lived in 5 EU countries during the last 22 years. Every single one has provided a much higher quality of life for us than we ever had in the UK. Income is higher, expendable income also higher, health systems infinitely better and also education. Some of you should give it a try. My kids now also speak 3 languages as a result.

So please explain what in the EU is 'blighting' our lives? The UK media spread so many lies about the EU and people like you actually believe the rubbish they spout. I've lived in 6 countries in Europe including the UK and that is the only country I would never take my family back to.

People voted to leave. Hard Brexit is a term invented by bigoted Remainers to imply it is bad, no analysis of the situation.

The only way for us to have control is by leaving the customs union and the single market. But who says we won't have access to it when we leave? The EU hasn't said that. The government hasn't said that. The only people saying it are the bigoted Remainers isn't not a shred of evidence to back us their comments.

What authority does Farage have in defining government policy? Moreover, did we elect the "Leave party" to government after the referendum?

No. It is the government that has always been responsible for policy, the buck stops with them. There were no manifesto promises, because we were voting on a position, and not for a putative government. The government has correctly interpreted that leaving the EU doesn't involve "just leaving a finger in", it means the same arrangement the overwhelming majority of countries around the world currently enjoy.

Just stop revisiting the referendum campaign with the "he said, she said" rubbish. A lot on here are still in the denial stage of grieving for, ahem, "Europe" - still four more states until acceptance/hope: get to it.
