So when he doesn't overule the manager and sign players then he's not doing his job, and when he does overule managers and signs players he's interfering. Its all so so easy to find fault in hindsight Rudi.

Of course the striker situation is a joke.

Don't you think its good Freedman is back ? As it appears Parish can see he needs help with the transfers and is trying to get it? But you seem to already be writing that off as a failure as well.

Doesn't know when to and when not to reading that.

Or more accurately have any influence in talks with managers to ensure things are covered. Do you not see any coincidence that Pardew was a fvck up, Frank was a fvck up, signings were left until last minute or not signed?

It's only when professional managers in out of work Pulis and Sam that things get done correctly.

Freedman? Yep, highly qualified for that role. Learning on the job for up to 2 years more like.

Home truths don't go down well or get addressed unless big characters are there.

Pardew was meant to be a professional manager. Think the newcastle fans were truely right about the damage they warned he'd do to our squad.

Signings were left to the last minute, yes some where but many weren't.

I hope he learns from it and think it was a mistake. But i don't want him out over it.

We're Palace, he's Palace and he gets my backing even with mistakes made. Far worse chairmans out there.

So as long as more signings are made before the closing of the window than ones that fvck up at the end of the window everything is ok, and them being vital positions with no cover then that's also ok.

I don't want him out of the club, just no more of that. It's all very well saying he's correcting his mistakes but you cannot sign a quality striker now, and if you do in January, how much more will they cost? Oh I forgot. Wickham will be back for 2 weeks.

Freedman's appointment arose from FDB's weakness in the transfer market.

Has managed three clubs and his team formed the core that kept us up first couple of years. A good judge IMO.

Sorry Rudi I had the impression you did want him out of the club.

Completely agree mistakes have been made.

Just seems like another reactive decision to another error, and rather than finding the best man for the job, it's another former palace player again.

Did none of them do a quick cost/benefit analysis of Niasse's agent's demands? Or just be a bit assertive to get a move on with a week left? I guess not.

Steve Parish has to take full responsibility for our current troubles We have known for over 18 months we need more strikers and a quality goalkeeper - and here we are no further strikers or a new goalkeeper Losing Benteke was always a possibity and now our inadequacies are home to roost Other than Allardyce whose appt was a master stroke 3 disastrous managerial appointments also so SP has a lot to answer for Yes he saved the club but we are talking about now Sept 2017 no points no goals and like we supporters SP should be having sleepless nights and regretfully more to come

Well for me, I'm still struggling with how SP appoints a manager and then doesn't back him. If there were internal problems then these should have been addressed in real time and not allowed to get to the point where we're reading about disagreements in the press. SP holds his hands up - but for me the mistake was not the appointment - the mistake was not supporting FdB 100%.

The club tried twice to improve the goalkeeping position.
