A positive BBC article on a Sharia law judge. Yes, Sharia law. Are you kidding me?

"She defends her religion's reputation for strict laws by arguing that it is capable of fairness.

But critics and rights groups argue Sharia is often misused.

"We have no objection to Sharia law that doesn't discriminate against women, gay people or social and religious minorities," Asia deputy director of Human Rights Watch Phil Robertson told BBC 100 Women.

"But the problem with Sharia law in Malaysia is that too often it does precisely that.

"Religion is never an acceptable reason to violate international human rights standards of equality and non-discrimination."

For example rights activists were outraged by the recent caning of two Malaysian women convicted of attempting to have lesbian sex, and say Sharia law was misused in this case.

Judge Shushaidah would not address the case, but said: "Caning under Sharia law serves to educate offenders so as not to repeat the act again."

What planet are we living on?

Also part of this year's 'BBC 100 Women' series is Chelsea Clinton – who is only famous because of her dad.

'Chelsea Clinton: No-one asked dad to change his name' [Link]

So the BBC story is, mum (Hillary) used her married name (Clinton) and not her maiden name (Rodham). Isn't that what usually happens?

We find out that Chelsea has writen a kids' book, OK... She is is also vice-chair of the non-profit organisation the Clinton Foundation, set up by her dad. The same organisation that is under FBI investigation for allegedly accepting donations in exchange for political favours while Hillary was secretary of state. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia contributed at least 10 million dollars to it... The same foundation that took in millions of dollars for a hospital and other rebuilding works to help the Haiti recovery that never got built. Incredible.

After Michelle Obama, I'm looking forward to a Republican woman from the Trump or Bush family featured by the BBC.

An absolute load of bollocks. Grooming for the far right. There are not 968 far right people in the country - UKIP members yes. There are several thousand Islamic radicals yet the BBC can't bring itself to discuss it. Wrong agenda for them.

Disgusting isn’t it especially how it’s now bleeding heavily into drama.

Trouble is most young people actually believe this s*** as they are too busy distracted by social media to pay attention to whats going on.

Noticed this crap today as well. Apparently men should pay more on a date because of their inate privilege.

This is what over seventy years without a war turns society into.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

I saw that and couldn't follow the logic of the woman interviewed. Why not just accept that some men prefer to pay on dates (I do) but that doesn't mean I am owed anything it's just the way we do things. She couldn't bring herself to say that so launched off into some feminist BS to justify accepting a drink from a man.

I know plenty of women who are happy for a man to pay they will argue that they spend money of making themselves attractive for the evening and the man pays for the date. Men are good at mowing the lawn women are better at ironing. Vie la difference.

Bottom line why was this even on the News page.
