But to be fair people do have three choices. Leave the EU. Vote Tory. Remain in the EU. Vote Lib Dem. Remain in the EU but be put through the tortuous reality of another referendum with a ludicrous Remain option. Better than 2017 when Labour pledged to honour the result of the first one. At least this time they might be telling the truth.

I wondered when Gina Miller would pop up although I thought it would likely be a court hearing to determine the validity of having a GE? I am not outraged it is all very predictable although some might want to know where she is getting the money for this. Anyway she will be the first of many from all sides pushing the tactical vote angle. Apparently Farage has told his party they will target soft Labour seats and leave Tory euro sceptics along. This is likely to be the most tactical voting GE ever.

I am disappointed they are not standing because they would largely have lost after consistently telling us that they represented the majority of voters in their area. That is a statement I cannot prove as they are not standing hence my disappointment. My guess is that they would rather stand down and blame social media abuse "I have to protect my family etc." rather than face the humiliation of a big loss which would possibly hurt their future job prospects. I expect the men have received just as much abuse, can't stand the heat...

Suffice to say my perusing and posts on HOL will be limited during the election campaign as my efforts will be concentrated on campaigning for my party. With all due respect I already knew that and it wasn't my question. Would you have supported Macmillan, Heath and Cameron with just as much "vim and vigour"?

I assume that you have forgotten the days when there was always one union or other on strike either for parity or differential holding the country to ransom in the process I remember those days very well. Thatcher was a necessary evil for a while. I thought she was an awful person but that doesn't mean I couldn't grudgingly admire some of her attributes. Dealing with the unions was always going to be done. It just happened to be on her watch that it happened. She was left in place far too long by the bunch of weak men standing behind her.

The type of tory party you could vote for is walking out the door. They have had enough, and so should we. Why would women vote conservative now. Time for radical change and a big labour win. There is nothing wrong with labours brexit, you simply vote for what you want. That will be remain as you dread.
