Empathy should absolutely be a consideration when asking a person to go back to work with potential health consequences. Doesn’t matter what the profession, street cleaner or professional footballer. It’s not a solution but should be a consideration when trying to come to a solution.

If you want to aim your frustration at anyone you should do it at the footballers and teammates of black players that don’t want to be isolating with their squads. In an ideal world, perhaps some kind of Utopia (Thomas Moore?) if you needed to not go to work, you wouldn't. However, the reality is that business is business and we are all going back to work, like it or lump it. I don't particularly like work but I guess I prefer it to destitution. There are going to be less and less free rides going forward, if I am reading the situation at all correctly. Edited by ASCPFC (30 May 2020 2.01pm)

Yeah, and you're right about being careful about where we source our food from in order to prevent a recurrence. I think the activists, though, give a light into factory farming and if not for them most people wouldn't have much of an idea as the meat industry is not really very open in revealing what goes on inside the large scale farms.

999 covid calls are at only 50 a day for the entire country among the vulnerable age group, Rnumber of 0.6 in the community away from care homes where the real problem is yet they look for the worst possible stuff to announce. 92 calls to 999 from the whole population. And people breaking in is why the farms get so security conscious. We need to get a better balance in the debates
