Richards isn't a midfielder. Barely a right back. Utterly clueless with the ball at his feet. He must have stayed away from Bayern Munich's midfield when they did keep ball sessions in training.

Guehi, Andersen and Johnstone have all dropped their performance levels - Johnstone more so in possession. That period before half time where Richards was so bad in midfield that Guehi and Andersen took turns doing it instead was really odd.

Franca isn't ever going to play. If he isn't going to get a chance last night he never is. Locks us in for worst PL signing of the season nice and early.

Perhaps two upcoming games of sitting deep and playing on the counter will help. The ease at which Bournemouth played through us last night - doing absolutely nothing special - was frightening.

Agree with this - Bournemouth recruited a progressive coach, were ambitious in the transfer market, and last night that made short work of a squad severely lacking in investment and a manager who is looking increasingly out of his depth against progressive opposition.

Hearing Ray Lewington screaming ‘GET IT f***IN UP THERE’ when we win a free kick on the halfway line tells me all I need to know - it’s Sunday league stuff.

Roy’s comments should see him shown the door in my opinion - not just for being accusatory to the fans, but if he views that as a reasonable performance level that is worth support, that is a major concern.

On the squad; it’s almost laughable. Schlupp is now our 4th highest ever appearance maker in the Prem - that alone should tell the board everything. Ward and Clyne would not stand out in the championship, and I think most clubs in the division now have a first and second choice right back better than both of ours. How on earth can a club expect to function without signing a proper full back for a decade?

The whole club just reeks of a lack of ambition - you can hear it in every press conference, be it Parish or Roy - constantly managing expectations, constantly pointing to what a struggle it is, constantly talking up competitors - they clearly view where we as the pinnacle and it seeps into every decision we make.

I found that absolutely bizarre myself. That looked like to me that the 2 of them got completely fed up and decided to take matters into their own hands.

Schlupp, Mitchell, Ward, Clyne, Richards - all of them are absolutely awful with a ball at their feet. How in the name of god can we be a decent team when a chunk of our players can’t even play football.

The team of August and September seems a distant memory.

Defensively we still maintain the shape to stymie good teams, but individual mistakes have become chronic – something Roy can do little about. Our attackers remain impotent, especially in the absence of Eze, yet there I think Roy bears some responsibility for our approach, even with limited options.
