In light of other results that was a good point for us today. It is clear that we have a powder puff attack as Forest were there for the taking but without our big 4 we struggle and are at the same level as the teams around us. Still a good weekend and on to the next COYP

Disappointing given the chances that Eze missed. However, probably would have taken that before the game.

With Doucoure, Olise and Guehi this would be a completely different team.

Wharton is an England international in the making. Sensational signing.

Good summary. Can’t be too hard on Eze he is still quality. Happy with the point given Hendo was in goal. And we didn’t concede at the end. COYP

Respect the point but in reality that is two points lost. Eze has to score from the Wharton pass, and could easily have scored following that mazy run in the second half. When Munoz header hits the post you know it’s not going to be your day.

Unless I'm much mistaken, this was the same show as usual.

New manager, young, exiting talent on the pitch.

Same damn result as under any manager/team combo in the last few years.

It wasn't "Royball" as some wags called it. It wasn't Pat. Nor Roy1, Frank, Sam or even Pards.

So what the Fcuk is it???

Seriously! I've been Palace for 54 years, Lived in Zion Rd, drank/slept/passed out in the Clifton, worked as a Palace steward (many)years ago, been home and away in various divisions, brought my kids up Palace (never forgiven me.), my family are generational season ticket holders all over Selhurst.

So...

-------------------------------------------------------------

I/we have some questions;

How are we so consistently 'unlucky', 'unfortunate', 'so close'?

How long are we going to be stuck in this squeaky-bum cycle of season after season relegation flirtation?

How often are going to be whispering about Europe in the first couple of months of a season, before we switch to hoping other teams do badly in order to not drop any further?

How on Earth do we finally move on from this, do we look beyond SP, DF, Et al. ?

Is just money the answer?

Is it the current FA/EPL/EFL/PLO/IRA/CIA.../.../...... ?

Are we becoming the 'Palarse' Meme?

I have no answers for any of this, do you guys...?

Mitchell playing poorly again in latter stages according to Clinton Morrison. He rarely finds a player with his crosses and seems to be a hit and hope merchant with little team mate awareness or ability to find them.. I can see him being phased out over the summer. Glaser needs someone with more composure in that key advanced position.

Henderson is another weak link.

I'm afraid I simply don't rate Mitchell at all.

He's quite good one on one but his attacking output is substandard and his positioning is woeful and costs us plenty of goals.

He was the one who played Chris Wood onside for the goal today but there are also plenty of occasions when he doesn't get back in time and we get caught out down that side.

Mate of mine asked me why I wasn't clamouring for Mitchell to be in the England squad with Shaw injured and the simple answer was I think that Palace could do better, let alone England.

Simple, when we can assemble a squad that can cope with injuries. We rely too much on having our best 11 players fit.

Today went exactly as expected. We weathered the early storm, caught them on the break then should have gone into the break 2 up.

We fail to put teams to the sword when we have the chance and we have no dynamic subs to bring on to change a game in the last 20. Schlupp was next to useless and Hughes looks very good at marking space. Hendo looks like a small child in goal and made a horrendous mistake by coming halfway out for the goal.

There are positive signs however that Glasner is the right manager for us.
