According to 'unherd', only 12.3% of South Africans pay income tax, and this figure is diminishing. Meanwhile 47% of all South Africans draw state grants, rising to 62% of the black population, and this is growing. Something soft and horrible is going to hit the fan.

Claimed asylum but from South Africa - tip of the iceberg. As I already stated, I meet them all of the time. Authorities still bending over backwards to accommodate - although everything was a lie.

I would bet money you'd find a whole benefits fraud ring if it was properly investigated. Who made the sophisticated fraud passport for example? It was done to fraudulently claim benefits that they were not entitled to. A load of illegal immigrants come on planes from South Africa, throw away their documentation and do exactly this. Easy street for them. Get caught and there are no consequences: harsh but completely just would be to deport and ban from future entry. Hard for the kids she's churned out but that shouldn't come into such an obvious case. All this does is embolden more.

And quickly the Government find themselves either penniless or with a confetti-money that nobody wants. Zimbabwe did go back to the stone age. And looks like SA will be following them.

Still, it is better they rule themselves...even though in reality...I see them selling out to foreigners, which is the general direction of travel in Africa.....it is the modern form of imperialism. Meet the new boss, he's the same as the old boss.....well, actually he's much worse and hides behind corporations and foreign states....but hey....be careful what you wish for. Everyone has no doubt heard of the the appalling Soweto massacre in 1986 when police fired on demonstrators killing 20-25 people. Not so many will know of the Marikona massacre in 2012 when police fired on striking miners, killing 34. The left and the unions were practically mute following this event. The only one, to his credit, to openly condemn it was Peter Haine. The rest of the left just shrugged their shoulders. Edited by georgenorman (18 Jun 2023 7.09pm)
