Perhaps they should publicise their communist links more then - no doubt many people would rally to the red flag. However, if they think Marxist policies will work here despite failing everywhere else they have been tried, they might be in for a disappointment. Meanwhile the 'intelligent' left will be telling them not to lose faith, just needs a bit of fine tuning, just need to get rid of all the unintelligent enemies of the people who are sabotaging the glorious plans as set out in the holy scriptures of the great prophet Karl Marx (blessings on his gulags).

I think most people aren't paranoid about communists anymore. The Communist party of Great Britain is barely even a thing anymore, and the world has moved on. Communism in GB is a footnote in history.

This is part of the problem, younger people do not remember how evil communism is and are prepared to vote for the current Labour party that has communists very close to the leader.

Explain.

There have always been Marxists in the labour party and its origins lie within Marxism and trade unionism. I don't see anything wrong with that.

Quite a few senior members of Labor over the years have been ex communist party members.

I disagree.

This isn't just a few former Marxists, this is the leadership of the party. I believe there is an inherent dishonesty and questions put to Corbyn and McDonald and their answers have, I believe, shown this.

What Kinnock fought against has come to pass.

Completely agree. Only surprised that Derek Hatton hasn't been offered a shadow cabinet post.

Marxist doesn't automatically equate to communist, and once again, the Communist Party of Great Britain has never really been a problem in UK politics (in fact their a dead end that's long been abandoned).

There is a massive difference between the British Communist Party and Labour, even its current leadership. The whole 'left wing = Commies is as tiresome as the right wing = fascist mentality.

What Kinnock fought for paved the way for Blairites who utterly undermined and betrayed the core of the Labour party and the issues it was supposed to stand for. The working classes of the United Kingdom.

Are they communists? Or are they what you call communist though. Who are they? On what basis are they communists.

I don't think it's fair to blame Kinnock for Blair.

Blair happened because of continual election failure and how the Labour elites responded to that. I dislike Blair for different reasons to you but he at least allowed for some of Labour's ideas to get through....some of which have really f***ed the country up.

As for Corbyn representing the working class!.....You made me spill my tea....He represents a section....an 'idea' of the working class....One that is painfully one eyed, idealised and prescriptive.

Corbyn represents the paid up Labour membership. I'll give you that.

This is the Conservative party's only real chance. To tap into people who work, whether it be on £10k, 20, 30, 40, instead of who they're going to clobber. I think this is where she was going and completely forgot it or was advised very badly.

Labour don't necessarily represent this. They represent the very poorest and whoever has a vote that's up for grabs. That's when it's ultimately likely to go t1ts up. I'd like it if it didn't but history has that habit and those middle classes who want a softer Brexit need replacing after Brexit has happened. Cue more money offers and promises on top of others.

Ultimately 2 liars. Just 1 is nicer and things will be better short term.

I'd say the Ali G character is about that....though I doubt it is aggressively political. But yeah, it's a white male stereotype about appropriation as a starting point.

The 'Is it cos I is black' line does however ridicule the ease and ridiculousness of how the race card is sometimes used. That's why people laughed at it. I doubt it's a joke going much beyond that.

If you're black and don't sound like a rapper, no matter how intelligent you actually are, I'm sure opportunities are growing. Sad that people that age, whatever colour, put on that accent that eventually sticks when someone within 1 minute walking distance and the same socio-economic group doesn't and has less barriers in front of them.
