Ok, what part of that proved that the Nazis didn't implement socialism? He doesn't back up the contention that they weren't, he just says they weren't and then goes through a list of irrelevant events. The Nazis implemented socialist policies and that's a fact. I sometimes wonder about you! Pretty much all of that article destroys any kind of defence that the Nazis were socialist in anything but name. If ever they "implemented socialist policies" then they did so solely to mislead people and promote an entirely different agenda. You want a part which confirms this? In what way did the Nazis pay lip to socialism? They expanded and implemented a national health service for Germans.....implemented better pensions They created and implemented day care for German children. They taxed the wealthy at far higher levels than previous administrations. I would agree however that Hitler's sole focus was on 'achieving power whatever the cost and advancing his racist, anti-Semitic agenda'......that last part is an under statement considering they were responsible for the murder of millions of Jews and others they considered inferior. They believed in social darwinism and were violently anti communist. They were authoritarians at their core and while they shared many authoritarian traits with communists.....the largest difference was that they were based upon race while the communists were based upon class. Indeed I made the mistake in replying to someone who can't really participate much beyond their own world view. That's fine....I suppose....But Wisbech stop posting at me.
